So, I made a deal to buy a new car today. Spoke with the dealer last night, made a down payment, told them I'd be there around 2PM today. I get halfway there and they call and tell me they sold the car. I was an hour into the drive, and how the fuck do you sell a car with a down payment on it? I'm thoroughly pissed.

Definitely been painted. Those marks are actually from sanding the filler. My guess is it got dinged and instead of a new fender, it got some mud and paint. The crack on the trim and light housing is your proof positive. Unfortunately, you won't be able to do anything about it short of repaint.

Wait, I thought they were polished? If chrome, then you need nothing aside from the wax you already planned on.

So, I'm going to go drive a Genesis Coupe tomorrow. Supposedly I can get one for less than an ST, and with the warranty, if it lasts 10 years, it should provide a great first vehicle for Gavin.
