Winter is a great time to start a REBUILD in MICHIGAN! I got rid of the HIFONICS brz2100 picked up the SAZ3k.... dumped the powerbastards 220 amp ALT and picked up a 356 iraggi.....Dumped the BTL and got a SUPER SECRET SUBWOOFER! Vehicle: 1996 GMC JIMMY 4 door 4x4 sittin on 10's( I keep em clean though) Alternator: Iraggi 356 amp MONO Amplifier: Sundown audio SAZ3k H/U: Alpine 9887 Front stage: Front doors alpine type r 6.5" Rear doors Polk Audio DB 6.5" Multi Channel amplifier: MB QUART 100.4 Batteries: Yellow top Optima in hood and rear battery is a shuriken120(sales pending so I can pick up a d3400 for hood and d3100 for rear) Deadener: Spectrum Sludge (3 layers) Power wire: 3 runs of monster cable 1/0 for power (2 directly from alternator and 1 connecting batteries) Ground wire: 6 runs of monster cable 1/0 for ground (1 ground connecting batteries and then 5 grounds directly to chasis less than 3ft a piece) SUBWOOFER box: 7 cubic 33hz box built by argent audio THANKS ANDREW(compliments of HOVE) SUBWOOFER: SUPER TOP SECRET SORRY GUYS.....LETS SAY IT WAS WORTH GETTING RID OF THE BTL( no offense nick or scott) VIDEO SECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howdy, I have a 97 malibu that has already been through systems and is ready to go....Dont worry about electrical because what ever is needed to be done will be done. The correct amount of wire will be ran and the right alternators..... Im looking for input on a wall or subs in the trunk what ever....throw out every Idea you can think off as this will be done in spring but the Jimmy is all done and now its time to start the MALIBOOM! Money is not an issue....(every bassheads dream) so throw out your ideas oh and just to let you all know whatever sub size goes in the car it will be a SSA subwoofer!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let the fun begin. a video of a malibu that I picked up and got rid of a little while ago. Wanted to see exactly how well an 18 fits in the trunk!

Couldnt of said it better. You can do the 1 btl and only need at the most like 7 cubes and do the correct tuning for your vehicle. Or do it right and get a K E or talk with ARGENT about building you a box. I have an ARGENT AUDIO box and I had my BTL in it with 3k and it was down right dirty. and there you go DECESION made now FORK OUT THAT COIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I like to bass race not so much into BURPING! class doesnt matter to me prob stick in the 139.9 thats what I did with the BTL

Which one should I do.... I have a SAZ3k and power to back it up.... I already have a box built to seven cubes tuned to 33hz that I was using for my BTL but I offed that to get a new sub. Give me some input!!!!!!! A few more things This is going in a 96 jimmy with 3 layers of second skin and for power as of right now we have a 300amp iraggi alt with the process of building a bracket for the 2nd alt I have sitting here. Batts we have a yellow top under hood and a bt120 shuriken in the back. I have 3 runs of 1/0 monster cable 2 from the alt and one connecting batts. I have 6 grounds of 1/0 1 that goes from that batt front to back and other 5 go directly to chasis. A video of the BTL before I sold it:

Well thanks for all the comments so far and DURAN I was leaning towards that just JL amps you need a friggin ROCKET SCIENCE degree to tune with all there crazy stuff lol. And to the cable guy I dont have the money im wanting to run the stetsom 2k5e at one ohm but its all about money. I got the hifonics pushing them now but want to get rid of it so I can get my money up..... and I have the JL amps laying around collecting dust because I hate JL lol and bought them before I knew about everything else and I got a killer price on them!!!!!!

I have two JL audio 1000/1 V@ that I want to put on my FI BTL 18" dual 2 but I want to be safe cause I use it for daily.... does anyone know about these amps to know how I should tune and how I should strap or run each amp to each coil. Right now I have a hifonics brz 2100 and I have the speaker ran at 1 ohm. Im hitting about 144db and its clear but I want to sell the amp so I figure stop using it until I can sell it so that I can get me STETSOM 2k5E or the sundown 2500! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I am wanting to redo my 97 malibu with a wall off......Any ideas of what subs how many? I am in love with 18's and kinda am thinking of going that route. my opinion is 2 18's just so I am not having them fight for air in the cab..... I will be using STETSOM for power REGARDLESS and XS power for my BATTS! so let the ideas roll and dont be ashamed!!!!!!!!!
