My at the Jeep Liberty came with a insulated box that the battery went into. So yes I think some sort of insulation would help if external heat is causing the problem.

Doesn't matter if it's a burp or not. It still takes it like a champ. But I've put a 12k to a pair of mayhems daily for over a year. never had any problems with it. with no clipping and a good box, the mayhem is a tank. I have a 3k to a pair of mayhems at the moment and I consider that childs play for mayhems. 12k rms? Do I seam like a guy that quotes peak power? lol Just saying if you put 12k rms to those speakers for a long period you would need two recones.

I wouldn't use a battery that old. Get another agm thats new so you start with fresh batteries.

Yes there is. They don't rewind rebuilds. On a rebuild you usually can only get the same amp as oem.

Well think of a battery as if it was a big capacitor. It has way more reserve power. So a cap. is basically useless. Just my 2 cents.

It's hard to find big guy sizes to order. Most only go to 3xl! They would need to go to a big and tall retailer to get bigger ones made.
