10 to 15 days is just a estimated time. So if they get busy it will take longer. It's worth the extra wait if you have to!
  2. I think it all depends on your alternator output if you will get dimming. The best battery you can afford will help. A agm with high cold cranking amps would be the best.
  3. Sears platinum agm batteries are a good choice.
  4. Happy Birthday!

    Pics would be nice.
  7. Why only when its running? Thats what I don't understand!
  8. I have fooled around with the gain and it does not help. I am sure it doesnt have to do with low voltage because it will turn off when im driving even if I had not turned the bass up. It doesnt even go into protect, it just turns off. I think its either because of a faulty amp or because the: grounds. If it restarts when you turn the car off and back on then its going into protect mode. Also are you using any bass boost? Plus like you said check all the wiring, even the speaker wires. No I dont use bassboost. Im gunna try redoing the ground cause I dont think it is touching a lot of bare metal. Have you done the Big 3?

  10. Sounds like you don't have the gain set right or something. The amp will go into protect mode. Check to see if the amp is getting hot.
  11. Yes sir! Would you have an opinion on aluminum vs copper? Think it's worth the double price? I always like copper. In your case II think aluminum would be fine going from 1/0 to 4 awg.
  12. Cool those tool makers should do the job!
  13. Are you talking about the stingers I've got installed? They are kind of a D shape, with the flat end facing towards the set screw. Unfortunately, rotating them wouldn't offset them any I was thinking sound quest. Can you grind some off of each one and give yourself some space between them? Oooh I see. I actually had to trim quite a bit off of the Stinger "4awg" to fit into my DA 1200.1 amp - it was a huge pain! Thinking of just grabbing some of those angled reducers... Do you think the copper would be worth the more than double price of the aluminum version? I haven't seen any angled adapters that I know of. Just run a 4ga. ground wire.
  14. Read the selling rules. You need to attach a piece of paper with your user Id and date plus ssa forum on it.

  16. Aren't those offset so you could just loosen the set screw on the amp and turn them?
  17. Real good, bought it about 1 month ago, had it tested and it's fine . Any Suggestions? Get a volt meter and see what the voltage is with the key off. It should be close to 13.o resting. Then measure it with the key on and the stereo on and see how fast the voltage drops. If it starts dropping real fast try disconnecting the power to the amp and see if that helps.
  18. Flip a coin they are both great subs.
  19. Where are the real lumber yards like back in the seventies?
  20. Organic they are the best,
  21. Cool vid, but stupid.

    Nice job!!!!!
  23. It is physically impossible. Plywood is a laminant. The center ply could have a void the size of a dinner plate and you would never know until you cut it into. I guess ill have to buy it and try it. I found the 2' x 2' to be better grade then the 4 x 8 sheets at Home depot.
