Chaos vs Havoc
Ive been all over the forum trying to figure out which sub would work best for me and I still havent come to a conclusion. Most recently, Im thinkin about either a 12" Chaos or 12" Havoc. I have a 2.5 cubic ft box ported and Im planning on buying an audiopipe ap10001d or ap15001d depending on which sub I choose. I drive an infiniti sedan so the box will be in the trunk. I am currently running on Fi X 12 at 2ohms with 250 watts from a fosgate prime and it sounds good for a $250 setup but I want an increase in SPL without having to build a new box. Is the Havoc worth the extra money in my situation or will the Chaos being a satisfying upgrade from the Fi X? I know it can be considered an opinionated question but thats really all Im looking for. Thanks for the help.

2 Fi X 12's or one SSD 15?
I dont know much yet since I am new to car audio as well. However, I would think that the two 12" Fi x's would perform better since they would both be gettin about 320w rms (300w being their optimal wattage)and, like previously stated, you would have an advantage in cone area. I purchased an FiDay 12" not too long ago and i have in set up in a 2.5 cubic foot box ported gettin about 250w rms and it sounds awesome for one 12. So im sure that two 12's in a 4-4.5 cubic foot box would sound great. Good Luck

Low Budget Amps
Theres no need to worry about refurbished amps? and sidenote, i know i stated that i was between the ssd and splx but does anyone have any experience with the sa-12s?

Low Budget Amps
Im planning on buying either a fully loaded ssd 12 or a soundstream splx. So i need a good amp that can push about 1000-1200 watts rms for around $175. Ive looked at autotek, crunch, hifonics, planet audio, etc. Anybody have any experience with a cheap but trustworthy amp?

Soundstream SPLX 122hx
So the general consensus is Fi? haha i should have figured since the is a predominantly Fi forum. Anyway, do you guys think the SSD 12 will be a significant upgrade from the X 12? I'm looking for a fairly noticable improvement on both spl and sq.

Soundstream SPLX 122hx
Just sold my Fi X12 with a fosgate amp and now im looking to buy a new 12. Initially, I was interested in the Bl but after thinking about it, i dont want to spend 300 bucks on a sub(dont have the money right now). So i looked at the SSD which seems like a good sub for a good price. However, onlinecarstereo is offering a soundstream splx 122hx (normally 300) for 200 so i was just wondering if anybody had any experience with both an ssd and an splx or even just an splx.

Fi Q vs Fi Bl
I thought about the SSD but i did not think that it would be a huge upgrade from the X. Right now, with the X both the spl and sq are alright, but I wanted a significant upgrade. Maybe a comparison between the SSD and the SPLX 122hx would be a more realistic approach. Any thoughts?

Fi Q vs Fi Bl
I already made a deal to sell it with a fosgate amp for about 270 which is a solid deal given what i payed for the two. I still want a Fi Bl but onlinecarstereo is offerring a soundstream splx 122hx for 199. How will the soundstream perform against the Bl? I have a 2.5ft cu ported box for the Fi X right now and for one 12 inch 120 $ sub its loud.

Fi Q vs Fi Bl

Fi Q vs Fi Bl
Alright thanks for the help. One more quick question, I have heard that the Fi subs really come alive if you give them a few hundred more watts than their rated rms, so do you think i should give the Bl like 1200-1400 watts? or just stick with the rated 1000 wrms?

Fi Q vs Fi Bl
I am looking to replace my Fi X 12 with a better all around sub. I know that the Bl is a better spl sub than the Q but i want to retain some sq. So my question is, by how much does the Bl outperform the Q as far as spl goes?

Can Fi X handle 500 watts rms
I just purchased one of the FiDay x series 300 watts rms subs and i was wondering if i could safely run 500 watts rms to the sub without blowing it. I have not had any experience with Fi subs so i dont know how durable the x will be.
