  1. Never enuff power ,just do what Tirefryr said....Welcome!
  2. Monday turned out to be nice so I decided that I would tackle the task of removing the rear speakers.I cant believe the buzzing & rattling that was caused by all the bass being trapped in the trunk.Well I must say theres a big difference ,I feel alot more bass coming in and filling the cabin.Just incredible what 1-12 can do if installed correctly and given the right power. It took me 1 1/2 hrs to remove the deck speakers and if I wanted to put them back aleast the process would go alittle faster(I hate molding fasteners).Anyone with a '02-'04 Camry needing help with an installation,Holla,I'm ur boi!.....I think I need a massage :thud:
  3. If money is an issue then go with Mags,u wont regret it plus u'll save a few bucks
  4. Nice setup(like what have),ur gonna love it dude.U'll be around 1.4cf after u install the sub and I wouldn't put any polyfill,it'll make box seem bigger to the driver, been there done that. The Mag didnt like it when I did it,but u can experiment also, maybe it'll sound better to u,"May the BASS be with you,ALWAYS!"
  5. U can use 2x2's/2x4's(calculate displacement) & wood glue
  6. Exactly, when I did it with the O it sounded like how u described it.The bass was more blended in,smoother than the usual pounding u get when they are in an enclosure. In fact I did like the sound but what I'm saying is that 2 drivers, instead of 1 would give me more of that smooth bass .The day will come when I will get my trunk back,oh yes ,she will be mines.
  7. All this hustling & bustling with enclosures, has ne1 tried a free-air install with the Mags?At one time I tried it with a eD12O,it sounded OK but it didnt have enuff output for my taste.Maybe 2-12's would've done it, anyhow I think I read that some of u are going free-air,I would definitely like to hear ur input.NO Nick,I'm not plugging my Mag into a wall socket nor am I doing any free-air test tones(LOL),just wanna know how they would do in this type of setup. So with that said lets get out the MDF and start cutting out those baffles! :boink:
  8. I appreciate it Gnome, the #'s u got are very close to what I got. I think I got this box building thing figured out ,some what.Gonna order the carpet tomorrow ,I'll post pix as soon as I'm done ....thanx a mil,G!
  9. Gnome seeing ur a box builder maybe u can verify my dimensions,I made a box thats 36 x 13.5 x 15(external).The port is 3 w x 12h x 38L(tuning around 30-32hz?) ,how's this sound to u?...Is the box too big?....I can cut it down from one side but thats it,thanx in advance for ur input!
  10. Oh yeah I running the same setup,u'll be one big happy family!
  11. Nice work man!
  12. Oh wow the box making dude,welcome.....
  13. Yeah let us know how it sounds
  14. Dude feed it the 1k ported or sealed,u'll be smiling from ear to ear.If ported make sure the amp has a sub-sonic filter and watch the GAINS
  15. Maybe he needs to hear my tiny 12 in my tiny box in my huge @r$e trunk.I also saw the thread and I didnt want to add to the comedy. To me it sounds personal but whatever,I know what I have in my trunk and I stand by Nick!
  16. Maybe the members here can help a brother out.Tomorrow I would like to start building a slot ported box for my 12" D2,I would like to tune it between 30-32hz.The space I have available is: 36w x 15d x15h, I've given up on Winsid so I would like it if ne1 can share some ideas and also figure out the port length using;2"w x 13.5"h x ?.....Thanx all!.....BTW Nick ,she's working fine !
  17. Nick do u have any T-shirts/hats?
  18. I love you....again... Maybe I've said that too many times this week.. Not me!
  19. Man thats incredible, now I really cant wait to get mines back
  20. Werd, preach on brother Jordan.May I add that for the money these Mags are to hard to beat, they may not have gone low enuff for Lloyd on his original SPL testing(review)but for me they do.I have mines sealed and she hits with authority and accuracy. When I get a chance I'm making a proper ported box and call it a day.Me personally ,I cant justify spending that kind of money on speakers unless I'm Bill Gates or some Richie Rich like that but thats just ME.Not knocking TREO,I have never heard or seen them in person but read alot of positive feedback on their subs.Good luck if u decide on the MAGs,u wont be disappointed
  21. Oh yeah, the stork arrives on Tuesday
  22. I just want to publically thank Nick for fixing my Mag(original 'claw' basket),not only did he fix it but he also did it in timely fashion. The man answered all my emails promptly w/o hesitation, I tip my hat to you,SIR.Man I cant wait to get her back ,this week I'm on vacation so I gonna pull out the damn rear speakers that keep rattling with all the bass in the trunk.Again thanks SI,thanks Nick, job well done........oh,BTW I'll be alittle more carefull next time!
