What can a 70amp alternator support?
Oh. It will be a 2002 Honda Civic SI. The CS60.4 will be running '07 Type R Comps in front and coax in back both @ 4ohms (60wrmsx4). The substage will be two 10'' TC-7 subs dual 4's wired to 1ohm.

What can a 70amp alternator support?
I have the CS60.4 and I am buying the sundown Friday. My car is only 70 amps with its alternator.. Can it fully support both of those amps?

General Questions
ugh chit i wish i knew all that when buying. well i just cant strip my interior and throw sheets upon sheets. i just wanted to do it on a very minimal basis around the speakers. and for whoever didnt get my logic about not needing to dampen the hatch part, its because there is no trunk lid and latch to rattle. the hatch part wont rattle.

2002 Caddy on bagz...8 Fi BTL 18's, 2 RF T15k amps (new vid pg 31)
i would love to know what you do for a living to be able to afford all that.

General Questions
hmm quick link to why to dampen page? and hmm, ok well why was one just recommended to me? anyways, should i even be bothered by dampening? edit- the car is a 2002 honda civic si if that helps at all.

General Questions
Well the mat is only for my speakers. I have a hatch back, not a trunk, so I dont need to dampen anything for the subs. Its just for each speaker. Because you take off the panel, and the side of the car is just right there. Why don't I need a cap?

General Questions
First, what is the different between the Original, and the Extreme Dynamat? Because, I am thinking of just getting two packs of the Original Speaker Kits. A set for up front, and a set in the back. I didnt think I would need to shell out for extreme. Should work all in the same manor right? I'm only going to put in the new '07 Type R comps and coax's. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=12644 And also, my car is a 2002 Honda civic SI. I believe it has a 70 amp alternator. My sub amp will be pulling 1300wrms and speaker amp doing 60 wrms a channel. So, will I need a capacitor? If so, how many farads? What brand is good? Because I also have after market fog lights on it.

1300 true WRMS
I was planning on this amp Hifonics BXi 1606D - Hifonics 1 Ch 1600 Watt RMS Amplifier http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=3804 However, now it is crunch time to buy it, so I am having second thoughts. How would this amp be for two TC-7's. http://tcsounds.com/tc7.htm Should I consider something else? I am going to run it at 1ohm, so I think this will be good. But, any other amps better for under 300? I really dont want to pay more then that.

Wood...
jsut so you know..being your first box build... the pressure inside a ported box can be/usually is greater then inside a sealed box. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee oh, lol well im building it sometime in the next week. it will be fun
-
Wood...
exactly. my first box build. so i will need it none the less lol. but hey, it looks good, and these are only TC-7's, nothing to major like an ssd or anything. and it has a port to vent the air. its not like all the pressure is constantly applied. i think it will work fine. besides my girlfriends parents own an interior design store so i can get whatever carpet stuff i want //free! depending how this box works, i will consider that

Wood...
well i dont think it is low quality because this is spare stuff from the building they are building next to where i work. its a condo complex, and it is a bunch of spare stuff they used for counter tops. my supervisor at work said its good chit, so i think ill be fine, givin i seal it well and dont split the wood when screwing it.

Ok, I have like 3 8'x16'' long boards of 7 layer plywood. i am going to make a box 40x12x12 for two 10 TC7s. Should I go buy MDF or would the 7 layer plywood work just as well? the box will be ported using 3' big 14'' long areo ports.

Tc-7 box
i would but i have nothin to cut out the sub hole not to mention id be afraid of messing everything up. haha
-
Tc-7 box
well the only problem is that i can not find a good prefab box built to the specs of this sealed.
-
Tc-7 box
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=3637 or because the specs of the tc-7 are here http://tcsounds.com/tc7.htm http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4450 this would work for the large ported box under low extension so pretty much the first ported at 1cu a chamber the obcon in the picture at 1.4 a chamber or the large ported for 1.7 a chamber which would give me low extention i waned 12's but they would be to big for my hatch. i listen to rap and have a small 2002 civic si hachback. and i want a quality system, but the thing is that because these are 10's i am afraid they wont get loud enough the power will be from this Hifonics BXi 1606D can i get any feedback on what to do, as i am really confused

A question asked all too much.....
TC-1000's
- Which Combination?

Which Combination?
Hah, ok, i'm pretty much totally sold on the Q then. Although, box plans... Obtaining good ones could be hard. Where could I go for a good design, how would I go about getting those.
-
Which Combination?
I figured I best get used to it early! Hahaha Hows about this... Fi Q 12 ported or BL ported (with any options?) And then also looking at two 10 SSD with copper coil So these are now my options.. Two 10'' SSD ported with flatwind coil Single Q 12 ported Single BL 12 ported (how much of a difference for just one sub will choosing spl over daily will I notice? should I consider any other options?) Best option for the best of both worlds? Best quality with as much loudness I can get while retaining the quality.
