  1. A couple of shots showing the round-over work:
  2. Here are some more pictures of the install - some of the finer workings of the amp 'rack' and the screens he installed on each of the rear sides so you can watch what it is he's playing for you.
  3. Yeah, sorry. Shoot me a (new) PM please and I'll be happy to help you. Best, Mark
  4. Yes, the tooling has being acquired to finish these things off. Unfortunately, things don't go as fast as one wishes, but I anticipate it will move faster once the CNC gets set up. Apologies for the delays.... Best, Mark
  5. I'm sorry it is taking so long. I've had some personal issues that have/had to be dealt with first. Best, Mark
  6. The only time I would suggest drilling holes in the cap is if you intend to push them *very hard*. Otherwise, don't bother. Thanks, Mark
  7. Here's some shots of the stripped truck and the sub box going in:
  8. Man, is that site ever a shit fest. Nothing but garbage ads everywhere. Thanks for posting the link Sean, there have been very few who have used the 15 in a car environment. Best, m
  9. So you're back now. how was the trip?
  10. Pictures of the sub baffle. Notice the nice contouring in the last couple of pics:
  11. I'll post more tomorrow
  12. The wiring of all this must have been a feat in and of itself. Here are some shots of how things came together in this area:
  13. It has been awhile since I have updated this thread - strictly my fault as Dave has been sending me updates and I have neglected to post them. So we continue the trek down Dave's lane and his quest to get this work of art completed:
  14. So we did a BassRace with the same driver today. We found that 4kw was a bit too much for it. 3kw is more the happy place. This would be a good driver to use at 139.9
  15. Yeah, despite the crappy weather it was fun. I want to get Murilo to BassRace it now... hehehe
  16. Last weekend I made up a modified MJ-18M and we decided to do some power testing using a SounDigital SD-12k. This unit has a single 1 Ohm voice coil and a couple of other mods: The box we placed it in. Not sure what the size or tuning was as it belonged to Murilo. Perhaps he can comment on it: First test went fairly well with 1.5kw: Second test did better with more power: Third test was with 11.6kw of power: Fourth test didn't produce any more output but the FrankenMJ took quite a bit - almost 16kw(!): That's pretty decent power for a single SD-12k amp!
  17. Time for a new car...
  18. A little more of everything actually - more throw, more power handling, more coil options (coming).
  19. Dump your IA and get some real power...
  20. FINALLY! Prices have been posted and to sweeten the deal, you can save $50 if you snag an SD-1800.1 and two MJ-18M's as a package. If you wish to get the package, simply select the products and use coupon code SDMJ when checking out. Prices are in Canadian funds and include shipping to your door. Please follow the link below to see pricing on the amps: SD Amplifiers Thank you all for your patience and understanding... Best, Mark
  21. Yeah, I'm afraid not. As mentioned, the thickness of the coil makes it impossible. Sorry..
  22. Ok, the DBDrag is over and now I can continue with this. We will open with a 30-day 'sale' offering which will include shipping. Just a couple of more days - I promise...
