Amp to big for IXL 10.2.2?
Ha! I have a 50 cent lift kit for you, use a couple of nuts or an aluminum pipe over your mounting bolts.

Amp to big for IXL 10.2.2?
I don't think you can fit an IXL in that box due to the angle. It would be tight enough at the fat end, but the short end kills the idea. I think I have a couple of MAW-10's left that should fit the bill for you tho. PM me if you're interested.

Amp to big for IXL 10.2.2?
Not much more to say here. Keep it at 0.8 cubes and add your port. Keep in mind that lowering the tuning will add a fair bit of vent length so it may or may not cause a problem with your available area. Use one inch space behind the driver for the vent. Post up your maximum dimensions you can go so folks her can help you bang out a box size

Big Dave's Truck Project
Not much to report but Dave decided to repaint his pieces. He mentioned that he thought the first paint job went on too thin. So here are the shots on that:

Who wants 7kw at 14.4 for $1049?
Indeed. I would hazard to guess anyone purchasing an amplifier that size would be using it strictly for competing. Certainly it could be used for general use just like any other amplifier, but I have severe doubts any (sane?) person would be driving around with the volume cranked to 10. EDIT: I think they were just showing what it could do with 12v - certainly not something you would want to do for any real length of time.

That's a cool looking build. Very creative...

You need not wait long for that answer. This stuff is not new - it has been sold in Brazil for quite some time before coming here. Now, if you really want to throw numbers around about wire, simply using Ohm's Law like the bcae1.com does to determine maximum current through wire sizes is erroneous at best. Include things like thermal mass of the wire, dissipation factor, convection, thermal properties of the protective shielding and transmission factor - only then can you come to such a conclusion. But I digress...

No worries guys. Just thought I'd throw the thread into the fray. Those who know about the amp understand. Those who don't just hang in there and we will show you some results

It's actually the other way around. Stetsom made the jump into North America before SD did. Nothing more.

I hear you all the way man. I too was very skeptical at what these things could do. Ha, this almost sounds like one of those really dumb half hour tv commercials where they try to sell you on a crappy mattress. Well, please hang in there as we hope to have some numbers up about the output soon. Best, Mark

Made in Brazil. They rate their output at 12.6 volts, so you will get 5k at that voltage. I posted the 14.4v measurement for an apple-to-apple comparison to what we see here.

:bigclap: Murilo is doing it - he's got a pre-order for the SounDigital 5000.1d going on right now: http://www.****/forum/s...read.php?t=9698 Make sure you add a few bucks for shipping costs, but pound-for-pound, you won't find a better buy than this. Period. Oh, and to the naysayers who think there is no way to get that much power from such a small footprint, hang tough - we will be at Tulsa in October for the finals!
