I dont mind losing low end if I can get more output... Im only running @ 2 ohms now.. I could drop to 1 and get an EST> 3000W which I would HOPE is enough for a 15" BTL.. if not comfortable for an 18"... but I dunno if I have proper space for an 18 thats what Precisions Ports website told me to give it... Its SOOOOOOOOO frusterating.. I PM'ed both guys at FI and asked them about the port.. I made a thread on this site AND CA.com asking for help with the port.. Nobody wanted to help me out so.... I dunno what to do.. Yea I can build another box ported differently, but I can't find the help I need. You think I would be better of running a 15" w/ a bigger box and bigger port IF a new box for the Q w/ more port doesnt work?? Or go down to 2 12's someone said 2 15" Q's would work in 7.1 cu. ft...??

to much over budget.. I have about 400 bucks to work with... i'd go to about 450MAX someone... anyone.. please throw out some suggestions... I jsut took a vid.. i'll get it up tomorrow... Not as much flexing as my last setup w/ the 2 15" R's... but it sounds louder... which is ok with me, i jsut want a little bit more output... I would just think w/ the 3x 4" aero's this thing would more more air than my last setup

18" FI Q. not QUITE loud enough... time for a change maybe....
Hey guys whats up I am looking for suggestions.. I am very open to Ideas. I have an 18" Q in a 7.1cu. ft. enclosure running @2 ohms on 2000W rated...bout 3/5gain... 3x 4" Aero's, all 14" long. Its in a 99Nissan Maxima I am pretty happy with its performance, but I am looking for just a little wiggle room, and right now when im playin the Q at max volume, is where I want my wiggle room, so......I don't know if I should try tuning a little higher to get a little more output, or if im choking my trunk.... I was thinking of a few other ideas... trade the Q and get A. and HDC318( if they makeone) B. An 18" BTL C. 18" RE MT D. 2x 15" Q's (if i have enough room to port them) E. 4x 10" _____ cheaper subs and seal em as I said, im open to suggestions, so im just throwing out ideas. I don't want to spend much more money though after I sell this Q for hopefully about 300, so add another 100 bucks or so. HELP ME OUT! Thanks!

Port Design, box for 18"Q 6.7cu. ft.. Aero port...
well after port and disp. I figured i'd be at about 6.4-6.5 cu. ft. a 15" wouldn't give me the output im looking for. Thats why I want to go ported with what I have.. not quite there yet for my preferences... actually it can get there, but its pretty much maxed out at that point. I am going to go with 3x 4" aero's, w/ PVC in the middle... I just don't know how much port to use????

Port Design, box for 18"Q 6.7cu. ft.. Aero port...
Hey guys Im going to build a new box for my 18" Q. I have 6.7cu. ft. before disp. and port.. which I know is small, which is why I need to use aero's. Right now I have 4x 4"x10" aero ports. can someone give me recommendations. Do I need to get 6" ports?? I know for port area that 2 of these 4" aero's isnt enough, but I think if I go to 3, mine are to short... Can I use the flares, and use PVC pipe to make them longer??

HORRIBLE LUCK!!! Power issue
mannnnnnnnn... i've had a feeling it was this focking alt. since I got it installed.. already spent like 100 bucks getting it tested and what not... The a-hole who re-built it for me said he wouldnt even pay for me to get it un-installed JUST TO CHECK if its bad.... I think im gonna just bring it to one of those 200,000mile shops.. AKA Merlin... pretty sure they do free tests... as far as taking it out of the car.... ehhhh we'll see what happens with the first test...first. IF......its the ALT... will it progressively get worse?? NICE CHANGES TO THE WEBSITE BTW... MUCH easier to look at.

HORRIBLE LUCK!!! Power issue
I have an upgraded alt. to 180A (i know not much, but all I could get with my car) BIG 3 are done... 2 extra batts. in the trunk.... I wake up yesterday, and for the first time ever my battery light AND brake light are on, so I'm like wtf.... to coincidental, must be something stupid that needs to be re-set... I just went out there and tested my battery.. With car ON, it reads 12.35, car OFF 12.45....... I reved the engine with the car on and it went up like .2-.3 ANybody know what this indicates...whether it means bad battery, or bad Alt.....???? Battery is only 2 months old PLEASE HELP! Just spent like 600 on electrical upgrades not to long ago
