Well this is going to be walled with the 18's you see, just wondering guys that went from flat walls to Clamshells, Tunnels etc did they see much of a gain, although ultimately I just want it brutal on the ears not looking for numbers

On my Pxe- H650 I needed to use the mic and CD on initial set up, but then you can fine tune the crossover points, slopes etc no problem

As per title lads, with my equipment coming soon I wanna go with the loudest design possible, will be using 2 AA Mayhems with 2 Hifonics 2607D's to power them, have a nice bit of room to play around with (say a max of 25-30cuftexternal) Will I go flat wall Port up top?? Flat wall port drivers wide?? Clam?? Small Tunnel?? I'm not really pushed about numbers as I want this to rattle people (will tune to maybe 30-32hz) All suggestions welcome guys

You can be sure of it, that Staple could only have gotten into the motor during installation like I dunno I never really dealt with him, only my HU is the only thing I bought off him, cheaper for me to buy in the UK

well I smelt BS off him when he said it, but I said I would ask around before I confront him about it, he was such a well respected dealer but fuck me he screwed my buddy over BIG TIME

Just waiting on the owner of the car to send them to me, I would imagine the amps were clipping from lack of power, but the staple didnt help affairs at all I would imagine can you tell me if the recone in the new model, more specifically the coil, would it be a different diameter to the first type of coil?? Because the installer is trying to say the staple had nothing to do iwth it and infact its the coil diameter was slightly too big for the motor

Well lads I went to strip a friends walled install on Saturday as he want it rebuilt. It was installed by a "professional" installer over here in Ireland. Now the problem lies with the SoloX 18 Kicker sub he had. Its the first generation Sub made by kicker, when being installed the installer dropped a hammer through the original dual 1 cone, so it had to be replaced. since the sub is in the car it has been smelly, like Kicker is, so the installer said he would replace the cone. Now on stripping the car I seen the Spagetti of wiring, will get pics of this off the owner tonight hopefully to show you, but basically one run of 0, stepped down to 4 gauge, into a distro block that had 7 runs of 8 gauge off it to power the 5 amps and "charge" the 2 Oddesy Pc2250's in the car. One removing the 18 I noticed the coil was fried, but aswell I noticed an unusal notch in it, upon inspection of the motor part of the sub I seen a piece of metal in the area where the coil would be, fished it out, turns out it was a staple, which matched the notch in the coil. Myself and Rookie were trying to figure out exactly what caused the coil to burn, the fact the wiring was so bad in the first place, or the staple that somehow found its way into the motor some pics of the coil, will get pics of the wiring tonight hopefully:

So sometime in June you could have something ya?? I would want 180amp minimum anyways but if its direct replacement I would opt for bigger, any rough I dea on price?? thanks for the reply dude

I have my speaker out RCA going from my head unit to the input of the H650, and then 2 RCA's going from there to the amp for tweets and mids respectively At low volumes there is distortion and at high volumes there is what sounds like bass distorting the mids :/ no I have double and triple checked all my crossovers for them and they are fine, have reduced the gains on the amp to be on the safe side, it just seems like it could sound alot better than it is. So I'm just wondering if anyone has done it differently to me

As per title lads, I have a full range RCA going into the H650 but I reckon it could sound alot better than it does Any suggestions dudes?? Is there a setting i must change on the HU to get the better response out of the Processor?? Thanks in advance dudes quinny

not yet buck, still figuring out what to do, A bit of stickerbombing and Graffitti the AA Crest on both doors seems to be my best bet so far

Cheers man, Bought the JL's a while back now, ran through the car so I'm too lazy to change them The imprint is a great bit of kit once set up right, I spent 3 hours fine tuning but still ain't 100% to my taste yet
