  1. Start off with a 2-way active setup and just get a pair of tweets to use with the AA CF mids. What's your budget for tweeters?
  2. You'd be better off ordering the high QTS option and putting it in a sealed box. This will allow you to save space and still get good low-end extension.
  3. The amount of air that the woofer is going to displace, along with your desired tuning frequency, is what you need to worry about when trying to get enough port area for a given setup. Box size doesn't matter, power being applied doesn't matter. The woofer is simply pushing a given amount of air in and out of the port at a given rate(frequency). The lower the tuning, the smaller the port area that you can get away with.
  4. Get either SVC8ohm, DVC4ohm, or DVC1ohm woofers.
  5. Is the sub going under the seat, or have you taken the rear seat out?
  6. Mach 5 IXL TC Sounds LMS-R TC Sounds Axis What vehicle is this going in?
  7. Just run the ported box. Like taxi said it'll be more efficient which means you'll need to use less power for a given output level compared to the sealed enclosure.
  8. Like already stated 3/4" is most common. You don't really need to get into double baffles unless you're working with heavy woofers(like 50-60lb+) that might be able to strip coarse thread screws in the right situation, or if you're doing a baffle with a large surface area and using some beefy subs. Properly braced single layered baffles can go a long way with a daily setup. SPL competition is obviously a different story.
  9. Hey everyone. I'm sure some of you know me from other forums(maybe as RyanM923), but I'm just now getting my feet wet at ssa. I figured I might as well go to the site that features a lot of my favorite brands on it.
