  1. Also, I believe he's becoming a Skar dealer, so hit him up if you're in need of some of their stuff. I don't know how he'd feel about me posting his personal email, but shoot my a PM or something if you're interested.
  2. Yet another box for Mr. Jess Berry. I can't even remember how many we have done together, but it's been quite a few. This one if for the all new Skar IVX 15's. Subs will be firing up with the port firing back in a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero. Lots of low-end output was desired, so a low tuning was provided. Vehicle: 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Dimensions: 37" wide x 20.5" tall x 27" deep Chamber Volume: 7.2ft^3 Port Area: 93.5in^3 Port Tuning: 28hz
  3. If you're just doing burps, I'm sure that will work fine. But if you're wanting to actually bassrace/demo/play music for longer periods of time and not see a lot of power drained from your bank, I'd get more battery power...and a second alt. I always liked to have 80-100ah worth of battery reserve per 1kw that my alt can handle.
  4. If you're putting good power to them, running one sub in .6ft^3 or two in ~1.25ft^3, the port is going to need to be in the 40"+ area to get a reasonable tuning while using adequate port area.
  5. You need to build a new box, no way around it.
  6. Lots of low-end output was the request, so a large ratio box tuned down to 42hz is what we came up with. The subs being used at DC Level 4 18's with Level 5 coils. Power on hand is 8-10k. Vehicle: Chevy Tahoe Sealed Volume: 4.75ft^3 per chamber Ported Volume: 25ft^3 Port Area: 384in^2 Tuning: 42hz
  7. Shipping that battery costs $80 without including materials...I was selling used 300MR's for almost as much as you're saying.
  8. They gave me the IV and asked me to count back from 100...the stuff hit me so fast they could have said "count back from 5" and I wouldn't have made it to zero.
  9. Some of my roots were in that big nerve canal going through your jaw, and apparently some of them got hit or whatever...half my damn chin was number for about 2 years. It felt like I was shaving something that wasn't part of me.
  10. Dude, you were awake?!?! They knocked me the fuck out via an IV, woke me up an hour later and wheeled my mumbling ass out of there asap!
  11. ^^^You must have been quick, I changed it asap after I posted it.
  12. Worst 2-3 days of my life for sure. I realized after 4 days of eating pudding and applesauce that I hadn't taken a shit since I had the surgery, and literally shit a brick...sounded like someone dropped an anvil in the toilet.
  13. This is a box design for Jimmy Greaves, a Sundown Dealer, and his 2001 Blazer. The box is 13ft^3 tuned to 33hz. Everything is double layered except for the bottom. Please excuse the random black flashes, I'll be trying a new recorder next time to see if it helps any.
  14. That's what I do, just drill a hole barely big enough to fit the wire, and then seal it up.
  15. Thanks! I used to use graph paper and getting it all to be perfectly straight and correctly proportioned would drive me crazy. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to small stuff...it'll irk me if I don't do it just right.
  16. And to imagine I used to do everything by hand a few years ago.
  17. Thanks Lantz.

I'm still playing around with this new video setup with the intro and such...trying to use some sped up video to catch more of the designing without making the video overly long and boring. Triple 18" DC Audio XL's Vehicle: 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Chamber Volume: 16.5ft^3 Port Area: 225in^2 Tuning: 34hz Dimensions: 42" wide x 24" tall x 48" deep
  19. I do designs for Dustin at DL Designz as well...he does some pretty nice work. DL Designz
  20. Thanks man, I appreciate it...glad I could help in some way.
  21. Here's a quick vid of a complete design process...sped it up a little to save some time. This is a very simple one, just trying it out for the first time. I may do something like this for a more complex design so you can see all the little things that are done to achieve a desired look.
  22. I figured I'd at least get some dubstep hate in here.

4x AQ 18" HDC's in a 4th order BP with adjustable port. Each sub is seeing 2.75ft^3 sealed and 5ft^3 ported. The port is removable and can easily be rebuilt for other tunings and port sizes if desired. This would make it easy to have a higher spl tuning for burps and a smaller, lower tuned port for some ferocious low-end output. The box is picture with a 46hz port.
