update: i have 2 kicker zr240's. one is the real made in usa and the other is the cheap made in china one. they even look different. anyways i took the zr240 i had laying around and put it in the place of the one i was using. its probably 1/4 more power. any thought on y this is? the one i had it did blow once but i sent it out and it was repaired. the one i have in now is all original.

ok i did it. i with truck off, im getting 12.8. with truck on at idle, im getting 13.5-14.0 but sub all the way up. it is only a little 30x2 fused amp.......

I'm no pro but I would check the voltage with a digital multi meter. They're not expensive. Maybe $20-$40 bucks for a decent one. I would check the voltage drop. That would be my first step. Do your lights dim alot? Maybe your alternators crapping out on you bro. i have one but im not sure which setting i should use to measure. iv never used one before. and when i do measure the voltage? where do i measure it at? like the amp, or battery??

i noticed that when i turn my system up (1 kicker oldschool zr240 and 1 solo x 10) that the amp will give the sub a good amout of power for about 10 seconds then will lose id say a quarter of the power it had and stay that way. could this be becasue my alternator is not giving the amp a steady voltage??? i have all stock electrical right now with 4 gauge wire and the big 3 done. what do you all think?

well my job problems are gone for the next 2 months. my grandpal owns a big excavation and paving company here in cincinnati and said he needs help out on the crew laying blacktop. ya the work SUCKS BIG TIME but i get but i get $10 under the table. when i last worked there, i worked on everage 48hrs a week so $480 a week while living at home and my only bill is my gf and gas lol i miss those paychecks

X2 i was doing some reading up on those two because i have both stores pretty close to my house. i have seen numerious reports on home depot saying there not so great to work for but lowes isnt to bad. im applying there now

ya lol. id get up at 230am, go to work till noon, sleep untill 530pm, go to class untill 930pm, eat dinner, take a nap and get up and do the same thing all over again. lol my pay check were barley enough to cover my gas for the week so i never had extra spending cash. minimum wage suckes

This. It's always best to put in a two weeks notice. It looks much better to the next employer. You don't want them to call your previous employers and have them say "he just walked out and left us hanging". well when i told my store manager i was quiting, he asked if that day was my last day. i said no so i gave him a little over a weeks notice. he was cool with it and gave him a little time to hire on new people.

well i recently quit my job at petsmart. the hours sucked big time (3am-noon), the managers were dicks to me and always gave me the job that nobody else wanted. So i told them i quit lol. anyways im on the lookout for a new job but i need some more ideas. i applied at family video today and a few other places. is there any job any of you can think of thats isnt to bad hours and pay wise? id be doing part time due to my welding classes. I am in the welders union and on a waiting list for a job. they said they will have me a job by december of this year so i just need a job untill then. any thoughts?

well i was bored again the other day so i threw 1 of my oldschool kicker zr240s on 1 of my solo x's. it doesnt sound to bad. i do however have a second zr240 in perfect working order. so how would i go about wiring both of them up and linking them? i want both amps to be pushing the 1 solo x.iv never done it before and help would be appreciated. shot a quick video of what i did today. made a new face for the box (3.5cf ported) amd threw the sub in and hooked it up to a oldschool kicker zr240 (500watts) enjoy!

i know what u mean man. i had the same thing happen to me about 2 years ago and yes it does suck. right after that, i put 5% tint on all my windows, bolted my sub box to my truck, and bought a nice alarm so now i can sleep without any worry. doesnt wal-mart have cameras???

ya, id like to get a app on my iphone so i can tell what hz im playing that sounds the best. but the first LOW on the song "put on" sounds AMAZINGGG a lot of people say its hard to get trucks to sound good with subs but i have yet to have a system that sounded bad. idk.

well the amp is a olddddd zr240 (made in usa) amp and the only knob on it is the gain. no filters. the box is tuned low. which is good because i love my lowwwwwsssss alot more than my highs

well i had the day off of work and class today and was boared as hell. so i decided to make a new face for the front of the box the IA was in which is around 3.5CF with a big ass 4" slot port.i also installed a little oldschool kicker zr240 amp (clamped 475watts) and ran it with a 2 ohm load. im VERY surprised. the sub itself doesnt really move all that much and it gets lowwwwwwww. the range of hz it was low and powerful id say was between 20 and 38hz. everything else was ok. anyways i thought id fill you guys in on whats been going on with the danger ranger. i didnt get the mustang back today either b/c i had to buy a new starter and the mechanic cant install it till tomorrow so in the mean time i hooked it up in the truck

my car isnt that built. it does have a decent cam, 4bbl carb, headers and some other mods to the engine but weight isnt a factor here. im not racing lol but how do the subs u put in sound?

hey guys, i am FINALLY getting my mustang back from doing a t5 swap. when i do get it back (hopefully tomorrow ) i am putting a oldschool kicker zr240 amp and a 3.5CF ported box that came with the IA flatlyne 15 i bought. now im still not sure on what to put in the box. the IA 15, or try out one of my solo x's for a few days just for shits and giggles lol. the car has pioneer speakers all around with a pioneer HU.the mustang is not my everyday driver but it will be drivin a lot considering it will be getting rather cold out here soon. the alternator may be the stock one from '73 (the car has a 302 out of a '73 gt) but im not sure so im kind of worried about the output i was wondering if anyone here has had experience with putting a system in a older vehicle ('65- like '80) and if there is anything i should be looking out for while doing this install.
