Depends on the passlock system being used, and the issues it has. GM usually uses a rolling code with an internal pickup and resistor. Inside the lock cylinder there is a sensor that reads a magnet that must be in the proper position when the key turns. Being integral, it is rarely a communication failure issue. GM's relearn is typically 10 minutes key on engine off (KOEO), up to 30 seconds key off, 10 minutes KOEO, up to 30 seconds key off, 10 minutes KOEO, 30 seconds key off, then start the car. I have had to run through the relearn a couple times because the antitheft module either didn't see the cycle correctly, or I made a mistake. Very rarely the antitheft module will lock up and need to be reprogrammed. If the antitheft module has been replaced, it will need to be reflashed. Different vehicles use different modules that house the antitheft module. In most cases it is in the BCM (body controller), although it is also sometimes located in the IPC (instrument panel) or as a stand alone module. More information on the actual issue, year make and model, and a pic of the key will help me narrow it down. At the throat of the key (just below the grab handle) you may see a "PK3", a "3" a "III" or some other designation indicating a 3, possibly an X. In which case the key pic will not be necessary. Also, with regards to the failure issue, a telltale on the dash indicating "Security" or a green key flashing may help to narrow down a security issue or an actual ignition issue. I have seen a few ignition switch issues (electrical portion, not the lock cylinder) cause really odd problems, so that is fairly common.

Some of the PS4s people are getting are "broken" straight out of the box. Some issues with metal tab blocking part of hdmi port and faulty firmware. Sony has said it's an isolated incident, but it appears to be a bit bigger than what they're leading on. I'll probably order one in a few months once the issues are solved. I have been screwed by buying Sony's initial launch too many times. I am not surprised at all about the issues. I love their platforms, but I am not going to get fucked again. They usually get their issues fixed by the "slimline" release. My PS3 slimline is one of the original slims, and it still works.

I have had some Pappy 23, which cost as much for a shot as a bottle of Double Oaked, and while it was nice I would rather have had the bottle of Double Oaked. Was it better then the Woodford? Oh yeah. It is almost like a desert whiskey. If it were on the shelf for $60 next to the Double Oaked (also $60) would I buy the Pappy? Sure. Would I buy it if the Pappy were $100? I might just stick with the Woodford. The Pappy retails for ~$600 a bottle. I'll buy 10 bottles of DO instead...

Today alone I built a front diff on an 04 Grand Cherokee and repaired broken wiring in the door jam(4l), replaced a leaking block heater and heater hoses on a 2004 4.7l GC, diagnosed and replaced an upstream 02 on a 98 4l GC, and diagnosed a bad drivers door module taking down the network in a 2000 GC, 4.7L, and a leaking trans pan and reverse light switch in a 99 4l Wrangler. Yes, well over 20 hours turned on Jeeps today. We specialize on those pieces of shit.

Envious. I am busting my fucking ass 5 days a week 12 hours a day. I would kill for a nice 72 hour turnaround... but I can't complain about the pay. Averaging 150 hours turned each pay period... but still, time off would be killer.

A grow room, I'd like that. For personal use. Honestly, if I were to pick between a night out drinking and a smoking a joint in an evening, I'd definitely pick the second option. I was good at it. The biggest positive for me was the book "Indoor marijuana horticulture". At the time hydroponics was a fairly new method. I preferred soils, and found bat shit to be affordable, and odor free. Light timing is essential, and must be stringently followed. I hand watered and maintained the system, maintained soil PH, and talked to my plants every day... it is said that conversation promotes positive growth. I had to synchronize my maintenance with my lighting schedule which can be a PITA at times. I generally started with roughly 100 seedlings. Roughly 75% came up, roughly 1/2 of that sexed out as males. I let the strong females choke the weak plants out. On average I had a 20 plant yield, and it was potent. I had an extra room in the apartment and used the closet for growth. It was well aerated (intake and outlet fans were in use), the walls were covered with mirrors, and I built a surround for the door that was insulated. I used fluorescent lights to start seedlings, and metal halides for primary plant growth and high pressure sodiums for budding. My light systems were suspended with swingset chains so I could keep them as close to the plant as possible, and raise them as plant growth required. But I am too old for it now. I prefer to drink, as it is legal. Holy smokes, that sounds like tedious work. Lots and lots of work. I spent roughly an hour a day, but considerably more during the couple weeks at the beginning when I sprouted from seed.

FWIW I played with cloning and cross breeding as well. Cloning worked for one or 2 cycles, but started getting weak fast. Cross breeding yielded inconsistent results, and is really inefficient with downtime in the room for polination/seeding. Thanks to the fans I had no issues with pollinating, but after a couple tries I just threw it out the window.

How stupid are people, really? I am just browsing photobucket for the attention whores, and I never fail to be blown away by these people's naivete. First, are these stupid bitches really dumb enough to believe these photos will not haunt them for the rest of their lives? I am not complaining, mind you. Second, and likely the biggest deal... it kills me that these people are posting pictures of big bags of buds, and even nice sized grow rooms. Seriously? When I was much younger I had a grow room. I was always paranoid about getting caught. I worried about everything from bringing in supplies, to heat signatures, to energy cost increases. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever contemplate taking pictures of a room that would have me put away for a long time... and it was fairly impressive for the 80s.These dumbasses are photographing felony possession, growth, and distribution and posting it on the internet, complete with traceable IPs for the police to follow.

I know I'm late to the discussion on this, But, you never want arch support. In reality, all you NEED is a sole that is tough enough for the terrain you are walking on, no heel and room for your toes to spread out. Most of the time a slab of leather is all you need. Off road good thin rubber is good for added traction. However, good luck finding shoes like that. Merrel Trail Floves fit the bill, Vibram Five Fingers and the Altra shoe lines looks good. For boots/ dress shoes good luck, bunch of hippies making weak stuff I would expect to last for a couple months. I rarely find a reason to disagree with you, but as someone with horribly pronated feet I MUST have arch support. My feet are so flat that when I walk barefoot my ankles twist and hurt. It causes me to walk funny which creates pain in my hips and lower back. If I don't use arch support I get leg cramps as well. Another issue for me is the way my arch rolls over the inside of a shoe with no support. I used to go through a set of shoes every month at work... it wasn't from the sole collapsing, but from the inside of my arch rolling the leather over the arch of the sole and tearing the seams of the shoe. Yes, I was wearing wide shoes. My wife used to laugh at how flat my feet were and how I walked when barefoot. Now she finds nothing comical about how awful my feet are. For ages I used custom support. But about 5 years ago I found superfeet. Every shoe I own has superfeet in them. In my case, with such extreme pronation, an arch support is essential. As far as those of you with even just decent arches, your situation may be different... but I will never personally know. funny thing, when I don't have shoes with good support I end up walking on the outsides of my feet. I had a pair of DC shoes once (worst shoes ever) and couldn't stop walking on the outsides of my feet. It made my feet hurt, my knees hurt and even my hips at times. I need a good arch support or it just makes me walk funny and hurt quite a bit Are you flat footed?
