Yea that is true, and iv always used my ear to set gains, i just want to see if i even have it too low or too high, could tell me if im in the right ballpark or not. and its always nice to have one handy

oh cool thanks man, So if im trying to set my gain with one, what do i put it on, I know to figure out what i need i take the rms im planning on using and multiply it by my ohms load then get the square root of that, so im using 1200 from my aq2200 at 2ohms, so thats 1200 x 2= 2400, then the square root of that is 49, correct me if im wrong

Yes i have a sears nearby, so the craftsman are pretty decent and accurate at that? you know whats a joke jl audio subs i seen so many w6/w7s blow. i blew 2 12w6v2s on a jl 1000.1 now thats joke when i can give my lil 180 dollar sub 1k and it takes it like a nothing but it guess thats a joke Lol thats too funny because i had a 13w6v2 running off my jl 1000 and it held up just fine. the w6 and w7 series are great subwoofers and have amazing sound quality, its just the price that is a little silly, I dont think a skar would ever compare to a w6's sound quality or a w7's output if that, no offense to Skar, there just two different catagories

As the title states im looking for a new digital multimeter for a few reasons. I was looking on amazon and i see they have them ranging anywhere from $5 all the way to $200. I dont really know the difference one would have over another but im willing to spend anywhere from $10-$25 as its just for a few purposes here and there. If anyone has any options on a good decent DMM feel free to post them here as it may also help people in the future to decide which ones to get. Thanks in advance

NEVER! 3.If you know what your doing then yes they can, I dont recommend doing it if your new to car audio tho 4. Sounds like you would be better suited for a sealed box, there more punchy and tight

iv just always wanted a pair of them. ever since i started into car audio. now i finally had the chance to pick some up for extra cheap so i did. and i can get 2 kicker zx 1500's for right around $700. Thats a lot of dough for some amps man, if i were you id think about getting one badass amp that will do 1ohm all day for half that price, but same brand is always nice, id like to see some vids once its all hooked up and running, should get pretty damn loud in there ya i see what ur saying. i seen a vid. on youtube of 2 12" solo x's on 1 audiopipe 3000 (389.95) and they were moving pretty good for a cheap amp. i just wanted everyhting kicker on this one. but now im highly considering just doing 1 big amp Its always nice to have more space in your ride and more cash in your pocket with the same results

OP i dont know if your dead set on the zx amps but there only 2 ohm stable and your subs are 2500 rms each, if you got the zx2500 then you would have to either wire to 1ohm or 4ohms since your subs are dual 1ohm, you amp wouldnt be able to wire to 1ohm so you would have to wire to 4ohms on your zx2500, if you want to stay kicker then 2 zx1500 would work great but be extemely expensive. Just something to think about, sorry for the non sense earlier, if your only after getting stupid loud then youll love those x's

yea its a decent deal, just make sure he checks the coils with a dmm and hear them before he buys them
