Upgrade Questions
Do they have a clamp meter, oscope, and dmm? All of these would be needed to adjust the gains correctly. Also, even if adjusted correctly the length of speaker wire and rca cable can and will affect a time delay which can/will cause issues with loading and if it is off enough phasing can become an issue. If you run the 3rd in a seperate enclosure you would be a tad better off but still a waste of funds. The shop should be nice enough to explain why this is a bad idea in full detail as would Jacob if you ask him to post in here. The shop should also inform you that there are far better ways to improve on your current setup rather then just cramming more into a small area that never actual fixes anything. I would like to see pics of what you current have for a setup.

Upgrade Questions
There is very limited room in the back of those trucks. We use one as a demo truck. If you run 3 behind the back seat you will have to go pretty high to get the correct net volume which will cause loading issues. As for your idea, it will not operate correctly at all. You should do some reading on what are some better options then what you are attempting. Personally I would get another D4 15 and run all three subs to a 2.66 load and snag a second amp and master/slave them. That would net a better overall result over what you are trying now. While our insight is not being used here(you are doing to do it anyway), please tell me that the 3rd 15 is in its own enclosure in no way sharing space/port area with the other subs? If it is, you will find yourself with worse results then doing it the "correct" way if there is such a way as correct for this situation.

What kind of enclosure do you have those SA15s in? If you want more output I would get a little better amplifier and work on the enclosure to ensure you have what is working best for your application.

IFO in Noble, Oklahoma (USACi dp)
I will be sure to get in your car next time man. I'm not sure what Anthony said, but most people who judge SQ are far to nice with their comments and never say anything about needs/should be done to improve the score. I'm not like that, I am nice, but I do my best to offer constructive criticism. As for SQ, it has been about the same for years now. The issue was and still is the amount of work and funds it takes to stay competitive. The other issue is that SQ is very subjective and is never scored the same.

OKC OK 2x USACI Show
I agree, I the car show was not handled by us and we were told there would be literature posted to keep traffic going in the correct direction. I can promise you I(we) were just as disappointed as you. Not to mention the area the sound off was held was horrible and was a last minute choice. While I like working that car show, we need to have longer and more thought out converstatoins to fix those issues...Or I can just take it on and fix them myself..no matter what..I won't let that happen again. Navigation there was simple horrible.

OKC OK 2x USACI Show
Had a good turn out and a fun show overall. There were some minor "hickups" do to a local who was suggesting that they wanted to cause bodily harm to me. In the end a DQ was issued and he acted a fool prior to leaving. If you in attendance at the show I do apologize for what transpired as I'm sure it could have been handled in many different ways as I look back at it. As for pictures, I was very pressed for time as my presents was requested all over the place and I was unable to take any. I'm hopping someone there took a few and I will get some via email in the next few days.

OKC OK 2x USACI Show
I know it will be in September, but no dates are set yet. It will be during the Sate Fair though. I'm thinking it will only be a single day event for this year and maybe next. Unless we get a large amount of support and large crowds at the single/double point shows leading up to it.

Trying out a new covering material
Its not. If you are coming up tomorrow I will have this exact enclosure there and you can check it out. We used some Rhino liner before, but it does not cover very well and if you want a really good seemless look you have to go supper thick or do a decent amount of prep work. Not to mention as you said, it is pretty rough. For those that can not come check it out. It has a very similar texture to pro audio cabinets. That almost rubberized feel that is supposed to stand up to a decent amount of abuse..this product is very very similar.

Is this sub an upgrade, or not worth it?
Since when does a low tune freq, obviously ported, go against an sq style install? Op, is your current enclosure optimal for your P2? To answer your question about tuning and SQ. SQ when mentioned with enclosure designing would suggest a flat response with in the actual application. Unless you're using a HT application that low of tuning is not going net a flat response, almost the exact opposite. In most cases when tuned that low, it is do to not understanding the relation being the enclosure, port, and the application. Not saying what you have is wrong, if you like then who cares, just saying it is not SQ and almost all subs will not have an "SQ sound" when in a similar style designed enclosure. Which also brings me to my next point. If you want to change subs, then you should be designing and building a new enclosure to get the best overall performance from the new sub.

Trying out a new covering material
Just black and white for now. All though we are working on colors as well. I will also be testing the black to see how it reacts to paint.
