  1. Hey everyone I need ur help on this setup of mine. I want to get two audio q 2200 amps powering 2 fi btls. How do I make sure that both amps are drawing the same amount of power and giving OUT the same amount of power to each sub?
  2. Thanks for the diagram bro. My truck goes from alt to fuse box to battery. Should I put a 250 amp fuse in between the alt and fuse box and the fuse box to battery or just one of the two? Thanks
  3. Hey everyone i am new to car audio and am planning on doing a big setup. I was planning on getting a 250 amp alt with 2 yellow tops powering 2 audio q 2200 connected with 2 12 inch fi btls. My question is that do i need fuses? If so how big do the fuses have to be? How do i know? Where do i need a fuse the most? THANKS
  4. Gotcha. Thanks Bro. And is the transfer from the regulator to the computer through the wiring harness connected to the alternator just wondering?
  5. The alternator has a 14.4 output voltage

  7. Hey everyone i am new to car audio and am planning on doing something big. Well first I was planning on getting a 250 amp alt with 2 yellow top batteries supplying power to 2 audio q 2200 amps connected to 2 12 fi btls . My question is that is there anything i need to be worried about? Because i was wondering if different parts of my car for example the dash lights or head light are being supplied with excess power? Is there some sort of regulater that controls the flow of current to the different appliances and delivers what is needed? THANKS! your help is highly appreciated
  8. hey bro is a 250 amp alternator good with 2 batteries and with two audio q 2200. I guess am going to have to upgrade the alternator more than 180 amps and get 2 batteries. What do you think? is this enough? Sorry if i sound like a noob THANKS BRO ! your help is highly appreciated
  9. hey everyone I am planning, on getting 2 12 inch fi btls n2s powered by two audio q 2200 amps. I am a begginer and was wondering if 180 amp alternator and 1 yellow top battery would be enough to power these two amps? Any help is highly appreciated
  10. Your not skimping, that "500watts" likely won't be audible, and even so, its just a rating, doesn't mean it needs 2000watts to get loud. And as above suggested, DC Power makes some killer alternators ^This, my 18 btl is run off 1500w, everybody who has ever sat in my yukon says it is the loudest system they have ever heard (even sub owners with 4kwatts + lol). Make sure you follow Fi Audio specs on the enclosure and tuning. Stefan is right on point , adding a second battery is needed, do the "Big 3" upgrade under the hood, run some 0 gauge ground wire, and later on if needed, upgrade your Alternator. Defiantly get the "cooling" option, Daily option, Universal option if you ever plan on re-coning the sub to change its' impedance, and the
HiXmCoil hey bro am doin a setup with 2 12 fi, am new at this and need some help. I was planning on getting 180 amp alt and 1 yellow top with 2 audio q 2200 with both of these amp together the external fuse rating will be 400 amps. Should I get dual batteries? Whats ur advice? Thanks bro ur help is appreciated

  12. how do u know how big the wire should be from the alt post to battery? and how big should the fuse be if the alt is 200 amps
  13. why N2s? N3's have too much motor and it makes the freqency response unbalanced. You could play one song and it'll be loud as shit and with a different song (or bass note) it won't be as loud. The N2 is designed more for music, while the N3 was designed to be just loud as fuck. The N3 would be like driving a drag racer to work. It'll go fast yeah, but it won't turn, will ride horrible, and eat up gas. Sure you have a faster car than the dude with the regular Mustang GT but...cmon now. The N2 is what you want if you wanna listen to music with it. The N3 won't sound as good. If i get the sundown 3500d and n2 how many amps should my alternator push out? dual batteries right? At least 200amps. Add a battery, watch voltage, decide if second battery is needed. I dont think i can manage 200 amps because they dont make any for the model of my car. The closest i can get is 180 amps, the next in line would be 250 amps. Any suggestions? Thanks for ur help bro

  15. X 2 no wait X100000, I dint really have to read the rest of this thread bc you stated in the first post "whats the maximum amount of watts it can take" this shows you dont know enough about audio to be buyin something this serious. DO you know how much currents the amp your choosing will draw? well bro u are right i do not know much about car audio and this is why i posted this thread. I looked at auido q amps and found an amp that pushes out 2200 watts rms and has 200 amp fuse rating. as i mentioned i dont know much, is this enough to power a 12 inch fi. should i go with a 3000 watt amp? ur help is very much appreciated OK OK OK I am a jack ass so just keep this in mind....I think the point that we are all getting at here is how much will have to go into putting 6000 watts on two BTL's in your car. We are talking 2 alternators each 200 amps minimum, 2 3100 batteries OR MORE. The subs, Box and Batteries will probably weight in at around 400 pounds give or take so you may have to add helper spring to your car. If you are totally aware of what will have to go into this we will help. You just gotta understand that we get 100 of these questions a month and 99 out of those are some high school puck just talking shit. Those sub in a proper box will get stupid on 2K and in that case you could save money and get BL's. hmmm man idk about dual alternator setup O and by the way i hate those highschool punk ass mother puckers, i am just inexperienced and looking forward on doing something big. the thing is is that i heard that a single 180 amo alternator and 1 yellow top would be enough, the guy who i was talking to said "ur not always going to be pushing out 6000 watts and the amp isnt always going to be using 200 amps from ur alternator". is there any way i can do a single alternator and 2 batteries? what do u call a proper box? do u have a good website that will tell me? sorry if my question are stupid or they just seem to make no sense but i really appreciate ur help bro. THANKS! I really plan on getting this shit done

  17. I want to apply 3000 watts on one 12 inch, it says on there site that a 12 inch fi can handle 3000 watts rms (https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154da98730e41db/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0010_BTL/0070_N3/product_overview.shopscript#). do you know any good amps that can push out 3000. And give me an example of how a retard can blow up a 12 with 500 watts
  18. well i want to have a shit load of bass, and its says on there site that one sub can take 3000 watts rms. so why not hit em up to the max?
  19. whats a good amp to power 3000 watts rms to the 12 inch?
  20. Hey everyone i am looking forward on buying 2 12's fi btl but i dont know what is the maximum amount of watts these subs can actually take. I read on there website that the new n3's take 3000 watts rms but dont know if this is actually true. What is a good amp to power this with? Am looking forward on sum crazy ass bass. And am not too concerned on my budget.
  21. so what do u think is better the 15 inch or 2 12 " subs? Go with the two 12s. They have the cone area advantage so, in theory, they should have more output. how much power should i feed the 2 12" However much makes you happy. If you are running with stock electrical, dont expect to safely run enough to power two high output drivers. Im running a single 1600w at 1 ohm amp and my lights were dimming severely before I installed a new battery. Will 2600 watts rms be safe for both of dem?
