WRXs are the ones with the weak trannies. The STI (which technically used to be a WRX STI) has a much better transmission. A much better a lot of things besides just the tranny, like turbo, differential, AWD computer, engine internals, wheels, suspension, and frame. Evos are also good. But, no clutch dropping on an Evo or STI unless you want to tear your shit apart wicked fast. That AWD grip is a beast for any transmission. Two-step clutch feathering is the way to go. You'll be hard pressed to find an Evo for 15k. Consider also: SRT4, Mazdaspeed 3, Cobalt Turbo (the quickest of the three) yea the sti has a better transmission than the wrx.I have an 02 wrx with 140k miles stock transmission and I drive the shit out of it!

A lot of products SSA sells are drop shipped, or they get it from the manufacturer then ship it out to you. 1800woofers is likely in the same boat... yea but i've been seeing a bunch of people complaining about SSA shipping being slow If sundown is running behind on shipping out their products, how is it SSA's fault? (I could be wrong, but I believe Sundown is extremely busy and running a little behind on getting stuff out) x2 and dont order from 1800woofers. lol. go through wooferetc or something. lots of places deal with sundown, so if its sundown that is the bottle neck then dont go postin threads doggin SSA's shipping man. you dont even know if its their fault. Are you using psp-inc ports?If so 3 would be perfect,I think 4 would be too much port.

My friend has a DCON 12 hooked up to an audiopipe 1000w amp... there are a lot of audiopipe amps on ebay for really cheap... would one of those be a good choice or is the AQ amp better? AQ is better but I have an audiopipe AP 1500 and it does what I need it to. Yea i think i am stuck between the AP1500 and the AQ1200... but the AQ is about $100 more... is there any reason why I should get the AQ? The AQ looks better.

Having a bad weekend bro? In order to use a 6" port, he'd have something like this: 2ft^3 after sub/port displacement(no bracing included in this), and a 22" long 6" aero giving him a 39hz tuning. Include some bracing and you're even a little smaller and tuned a little higher...no thanks. ok I just tuned it to about 31hz with a 13.5" 4" port (i'm gonna raise the tuning up some i didnt glue the whole port together yet) the box is about ready just waitin on my sub :'( I'd just cut down on box volume some since you're already a little big with just the sub and a 4" aero taking up space in there(this will also raise tuning a little). What kind of power are you using? Right now you're looking at 2.25ft^3 not including any bracing you may be using. Dropping volume down to 2ft^3 will up the tuning to 33hz. I got an audiopipe ap1500 i could cut the port down to about 12" and get about 34hz tuning i think i havent checked yet lol
