I just checked out the home page...
Lots more to add to that section as well... just wanted to get the basics of each driver up first. Ill add more to each one later as well as have the secondary tech section to show people about clipping, subsonic filters, and all of the other overlooked things that makes $hit trickle down hill to the sub end of things Thanks, Scott

How backed up are you?
About a 1.25" of magnet diameter. Comes standard with pole chamfer and a copper coil vs paying for the chamfer as an option and the older standard coil. Added the hyper pole chamfer which is similar in geometry to the compression plug in the BP option of the Qs and SSDs, although this is integral to the pole (machined all as one piece) and not just a machined aluminum part added. Now has the urethane Fi logo dome tag on the back of the motor as well. Since we have had the BLs we have seen what people like about them and how they use them... seems we needed to kick up the motor strength a little more to meet the needs of our customers. Trying to get all pics and specs up tonight. Thanks, Scott

Bad weekend for the Fi Q
Well... Ill say this. That sub looks like it has had one heck of a hard life. Keep us all posted, and if it doesnt work out let me know and we will take care of things from there Thanks, Scott

ups shipping
Not sure what the deal is with that. I have my rep looking into it to see whats going on. Thanks, Scott

Fi bl 18
What options on the sub? Doesnt change things thermally in a larger enclosure, normally just mechanically in that there is a larger air spring behind it and it cant handle quite as much. Thanks, Scott

How backed up are you?
Never like to loose a customer, but you did pick one heck of a sub to go with. Excellent choice. Cleared up all the BL/BTL subs that we had running into the 12 business day lead time (normally 3-7) due to lack of steel from our vendor. They were back ordered on our custom 20' lengths of steel for over 3 weeks and that put us behind. I appreciate everyones patience with their orders. Back to normal lead times for BLs and BTLs... except we will start shipping new BLs to all those that ordered from today on out. Still have a few of the old motors left for those that need repairs or to match another driver. Thanks, Scott

I just checked out the home page...
Thanks for the kind words. Been working on lots of new things and hope to have most up by tonight... couple new shirts, new BL series, stickers, tech (or at least the basics for each of the speakers), and recones. Have more to do than that... but wont be able to get to some of the other items for another week or two. Thanks, Scott

AA in Canada?
I have know Dale for a while now and couldnt be happier with him taking care of the products up there for us. As close as Canada is, it might have been just as easy to go direct with dealers like we have in the US. But trusting him like we do, it takes that burden off of an already strained office staff as well.

Excellent... Nick is a huge help

SMD series delays.
I may be in contact with you soon. One of the machines is 350 ton unit that should be able to run a 2 cavity mold given the amount of material we need for 2 parts. We can make molds in house as well. I think Ill arrange to check it out next week to wrap my head around how big this unit really is. From pics it seems about 20 feet long... plus Id like to see it in action (local machine in Las Vegas) and get an idea of how I can configure the tooling for the parts. No equivalent subs without the logo for that series. We have actually reduced some costs with making parts in house for certain items. When you average the tooling cost for parts vs the number of parts needed, some things simply arent worth making overseas. Plus it opens up new ways of thinking about building products when you can actually build them.

Arsenal 10"s failing??
It definitely appears as over excursion due to the tuning and lack or improper susbonic filter settings. This can be done to about anything... subsonic filter settings with ported enclosures are key. Not sure how to stress that enough. Wonder what dealer these were purchased through as none have said anything about it. But we do work with dealers directly on how to properly set things up as well and it massively reduces any sort of failures with products (another reason why we dont go via distribs and rep firms).

SMD series delays.
Keeps validating why I keep filling up every bit of floor space with machines...lol. Anything that we can do in house Im all for. I probably wont get an update until Sunday night on this one (Chinas Monday morning), but if it isnt good, I may get a crash course in injection molding. I have a lead on two a larger Engel and one Van Dorn machine that would definitely open up a new world of possibilities for us. Just not for this project as we need things done ASAP.

I am loosing my sanity
lol... yeah I went on the search to find anything that isnt in line with our current policy. I need to rework some of the descriptions of the driver as well... Ill try to update that ASAP too.

idea for alittle project
You found some poly mids? Snap those things up. Even I am out of them (except for the units in my doors). We do have the carbons, which have a very similar response as well. Thanks, Scott

SMD series delays.
While we figured to have the sub ready to go by the end of Feb, we have ran into a couple of tooling and parts delays with the sub. Currently we are waiting for the latest material sample for the spider as well as a new lead with a completely different core and wrapping technique... not to mention that it appears that the spider spacing ring we tooled is MIA due to the injection molding company we are using in China seems to have gone under. This has put us in a bind for several other parts that we get through them as well and we are having some help in China in tracking down the tooling for these parts (shot in the dark). Ill keep the forum posted as to any updates on the sub and when we will get them rolling out the doors (literally as we are setting up a small roller line specific to these subs as they are a PITA to lift and move around) Thanks, Scott

1 Per sub is plenty for a daily setup. Thanks, Scott

E-mail
Got your email... Ill try and get to it tomorrow morning (its at work and not here otherwise Id do it now). Had 2-3 employees out sick all last week and 1-2 this week, so we have been a little stressed with the OEM work and lack of specific people for machining processes. Sorry for the delay Thanks, Scott

AA in Canada?
Dale is the go to guy. If he doesnt have it we can drop ship it to you through him. Thanks, Scott

Arsenal 10"s failing??
Are these the new versions of the Arsenal or the older versions with the blank dustcaps? We have yet to hear of any failures from any of our dealers or distributors for the new Arsenals that we produce. As mentioned above, suspension failures in ported boxes are often caused by improper subsonic filtering... please remember that the port acts as a giant hole in the box below tuning allowing the sub to unload. Thanks, Scott

FI BTL 12 (NOT HITTING RIGHT)
Please post pics of the enclosure with the specs. We definitely want to get this sorted and working properly for you. Thanks, Scott

22inch Fi
Like Nick said above... I hate months of hype on products or putting a date on something. As with 99% of things Fi... it will simply appear on the site when we are ready to build/ship. With that said, I need to go to another forum and explain a product delay for a release date Thanks, Scott

what kinda motor is this and where can i get a recone???
Looks like a TC9 variant. Maybe off of Memphis or something. Shouldnt be an issue to recone... and the above BKOLFO4 will be the one to let you know all that info shortly Thanks, Scott

I am loosing my sanity
Let me know where it says 2-3 days so I can change that one Front page on the site is 3-7 business days. With the amount of sales we do a day, there simply is no way to knock things out in 2-3 anymore. We have to batch run things in the machine shop in 2 day intervals even with the 2 CNCs fixtured for the same parts. Its probably about time to make a big front page ordering info section to clarify the time frames and UPS shipping. Glad its on the road to you Let us all know how it works when you get it installed. Thanks, Scott

2x Q15" Can they handle the power???
Qs wont like that much power for bass race. Frankie Rios is using Qs in his setup, but he doesnt quite have that much power per sub. He has more than proven that they are solid drivers for the application. But they do have limits. He was louder with his BTLs though...

which is right??????
SSD with flatwind is similar in most respects to an SX. Although the SSD has more suspension to it. Q is a solid step up in the SQ department and from tests, in output as well over the SX.
