Ill leave this one to others. I cant even remember what a 3000 is at this point motor wise... even though I am rather unbiased with my opinions
  2. BTL

Tuning and the subsonic filter are key in most applications. We have people with more power, but know the limits and have things dialed in correctly. At the same time we hav epeople with 2000W tuned to 45 with their subsonic filters off or too low that kill subs mechanically when they try to play some ultra low bass tracks and the subs try to jump out of the baskets. Set up is key. I wish we had 20 more Nicks... he is small enough to send in the BTL crate (with a little food of course) so that he can tweak the knobs and dial things in. Then youd just send him back and we would shoot him out to the next customer Sorry Nick... one can dream
  3. Im sure I got back to you via email for this one Let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks, Scott
  4. We normally recommend 12-16 sqin of port per cuft of enclosure. This is a general rule of thumb and is not set in stone. Obviously higher power higher excursion applications need more than a low power low excursion setup (which can use even less than what we recommend with little noise or compression). Between the two there is little difference. You wouldnt notice it as much as you might in radiusing the edges inside and out on the ports. Either one would do fine. Thanks, Scott
  5. First one seems tuned too high... might be able to block one off for a lower daily tuning. But with the copper coils 1.8 cuft is fine. Only issue is that we dont know the tuning of that enclosure either Id hate for you to get something tuned to 45Hz and loose a good portion of the bottom end of things. We will gladly help you design an enclosure if you want to have someone else make it as well... although the last box is rather cheap. Thanks, Scott
  6. We definitely can, but have you contacted SSA first to see if they can help you?
  7. I dont know You would need equipment of one sort or another to do it. I guess a shunt resistor, a test disk and a multimeter could do it. But really you dont need it. I would calculate things the same as based off of the orignal versions (enclosure and tuning have nothing to do with the sub, only the final response). You might have a slight peak difference, but you would need to test for that for an SPL setup anyway. Isnt really an issue, but I do not have specs based off of the mods we made to your subs. Sorry. Thanks, Scott
  8. SX15 kit in D1 or D2 with basket, gasket, and terminals would be $127 shipped to you. Yes the standard leads we use are the MT sized ones, bigger than the SE and SX leads. Thanks, Scott
  9. Really looking at like 12 cuft as a minumum... Im sure you could fit that, but it would have to be built in the trunk.
  10. Yes, as you increase port sizing or length you loose useable airspace in the enclosure. Rather quickly you hit diminishing returns and run into problems. 5.38 tuned to 35Hz isnt too bad. Since its done, Id run it and see how it goes. We can tweak things from there after break in and depending on what you want to change (if anything). As BKOLO4 mentioned, you could simply cut the port down to 4X21.5 and shorten it to the correct length for tuning and the new net volume with less port displacement as well... but try it as is first if its not difficult to do so. Thanks, Scott
  11. icpurplepplalot..... $13.40 to ship the kit. Email [email protected] if youd like to place an order for one. We will get you taken care of. 1loudhnda... not too much we can do to an MT kit... we can change up the suspension, but the gaps are too tight to do anything with and we simply cant machine on it as it is already assembled and magnetized. Sorry...
  12. I think Nick got this one straight with you. Motor can be sent to: Fi Car Audio Attn: Scott 5480 Cameron St #107 Las Vegas NV 89118 We will get you taken care of Thanks, Scott
  13. Yes we can accept international credit cards as long as the name and address on the card are the same as shipping. We can not accept them through the site directly, but will have to process it separately. I believe I saw an email from you this morning and I will check and reply to it with the info on how to contact us or go about ordering. Thanks, Scott
  14. Posted on other topic... got off the phone with them and they are still in the investigation/trace stage of things. But we have since started a new sub for you and will get it out when it is finished. Do you have another address that we can ship it too? Hopefully it will be a different driver as he is very suspect to me in siging for it. Thanks, Scott
  15. OK... found the info. Extra $59.90 for a triple stack BTL18 sent via USPS priority (2-3 day service) with insurance and signature confirmation. Extra $35.55 for a 18" BL Thanks, Scott
  16. Wakeup... Just got off the phone with UPS for your (and another lost package) to get an update. They are still running their trace and inquiry on the pakcage, but we have since started to build another sub for you and will ship it out to you when it is finsihed. To be on the safe side, is there another location that we can send the package to? Hopefully with a different driver as this one is suspect to me Danracer... Man, let me read back through this one and see if I can get all the info I need. Not sure what happened, but I do remember 2 conversations with Nick about a quote and forwarding that to you as well (I am 99% sure it was for you). Post back in a minute...
  17. Third missing sub this week... 2 via UPS and 1 USPS. I am heading down to USPS in a couple of hours and will bring the receipt with me to check for the sub through them. It does have delivery confirmation and insurance on it as well. But, I ensure you that if it is lost I will deal with the claim and get you another XXX ASAP (I have 2 original motors left). I have been out of town for a few days for the Holiday and havent been on the forums as much to check. But I am back and will keep you posted either via here or your email above (I will copy this to the email as well). Sorry for the delays, Scott
  18. email sent
  19. Ill send one out for free. Send me an email to [email protected] with your name and address and we will get you one in the mail. Thanks, Scott
  20. got info and email for danracer from Nick... Ill get an email off to you now. wrxinfx... Im sure Nick will get me your info or pricing to you as well. Thanks, Scott
  21. FL BTL recones wont fit in the MT gaps. Much larger coils. As Nick mentioned above, not a problem to ship out to whoever as well...
  22. Tested many variations of the "woven" style. Nothing but issues for durability, even with nomex spiders. It abrades the spider and over time saws through. I have had several fires with it as well. The issue becomes how many tinsels you can get into the woven portion without deformation or even faster wear... too little and it heats up and can cause fires in PC spiders. Plenty of other stuff in the works through
  23. Shipped the other day... Ill get you the tracker later tonight. Thanks, Scott
  24. Ill check the filters and see if it got caught in there as I havent seen a Candian SX request in the past couple of days. We definitely can do it though
  25. Weve got some 10" spiders on the way. We have had so many TCish recone requests that we needed to do something. Ill keep you posted on those.
