Matt, Glad its exceeding expectations. Nice meeting you and your friend at Finals (thanks for taking the time to stop by). Please keep us posted on how it sounds long term. Thanks, Scott
  2. Unit 6639... that is the 10 Ill get some pics of the 12s later. bld 25...They sound very clean in the proper enclosures. Sound just as good as a Q, but they simply dont have anywhere near the same ability as the Q both mechanically and thermally. Remember, these are a 2" coil not the monster long 3" Q coils. I had designed these for low power daily/SQ setups (what turned into a "girlfriend sub" for many of the Fi customers). I really like them and was disappointed when they didnt sell like I thought they should. But it seems that most people like Fi for options and customization... these had neither... so we pulled them from the site. Now we want to simply make some room so we built them up (which is currently taking up MORE room...lol) They are not a monster SPL Fi sub... so please do not think that you can push 2X+ RMS to them. You are not getting an SSD, Q, BL, or BTL type driver for dirt cheap They are a good driver, but are designed for lower power. Please check specs and see if they will work for your desired application before purchasing. I dont want anyone to be disappointed that they ordered a pair of 12s and that their 2000W amp isnt optimal for them Thanks, Scott
  3. Very cool... while I think you are nuts with the power, you simply must know what clean power is and have things dialed in properly. Glad to see/hear they are taking it.
  4. No numbers just demoing there. But it does love the low low stuff
  5. No reason why it wouldnt be... Like Vladd mentioned, simply use separate terminals on the outside and make sure you keep them straight
  6. While you will have some drop in output, you will also have the firing scheme you are looking for as well as save some space. Might not be as drastic of a loss due to the new loading as well. Shouldnt be more than 1.5 dB overall (which may be less around tuning as they do peak differently). We are also having a promo on the BLs for our 1 year anniversary. We are offering free cooling on any BL purchase with the flatwinds... saves $40 as a thanks for helping us through the first year... see the "BL Promo" thread in the General section for more details.
  7. Similar to the Ascendant Assassins. They are a solid little sub. No options for them, which is why I think that they didnt take off. They are just a straight forward sub that works well on lower power and sounds clean. Pics of the 10"
  8. They are an accurate little sub... but an SAE1000D on a pair would murder them. We rate them at 250W and depending on the app, work well with that. For a pair of 10s, 2 cuft tuned to 33Hz works well. Thanks, Scott
  9. for 6 of them 3 cft tuned to 35 Hz should work well. Most people (well I have more feedback from dealers than online sales for these) are tuning them up a little higher than a larger sub. They are dropping the lowest bottom end stuff in favor of smaller enclosures and more output. Many are tuning 37 or so and setting the subsonic around 33Hz. Amp will push them more than enough with 6... Let me know if I can help with anything else.
  10. Sorry for the delay in response... we were out of town for dB Drags for several days. Extra $28 over the current SSA price for the 15" to ship it to that postal code. That amp would work well with the sub. I like the SX series as you can actually dial in the subsonic (at up to 24dB/oct) for optimal results. The ZX is preset at 25 Hz and 12 dB/oct which is rather useless in most ported setups.
  11. Local dealers should you have one in your town. We are adding more and more dealers and just signed 3 more today. We will have a dealer locator on the site when it is finished (3rd Tuesday from never and 3 web designers later ) I would say its a little much. We rate them at 1250, although we do have people that run more to them than that... it is up to their skill and discretion to do so. Are you looking for ported or sealed?
  12. $103 for the kit shipped to you. Have you emailed us at Ascendant? I havent seen anything for a kit there. Sorry
  13. They working out OK for you so far?
  14. It was actually a cool design that we came up with for that sub... but most simply didnt get what could be done with it. In your case, you would hook up both of the 2 Ohm coils in series with eachother. This would yield a "3rd" single 4 Ohm load. By series I mean take the + from one 2 Ohm coil and call this the + side of the "3rd" coil. Take the - from the other subs 2 Ohm coil and call this the - side of the "3rd" coil. Then hook the remaining + and - from the coils together with a jumper. This effectively sums both of the 2 Ohm coil to act as a single 4 Ohm coil. Then taking all "3" of these coils you would wire all positives together and to the amp, as well as the negatives. These are now being wired in parallel (which effectively divides the common load by the number of coils... 4Ohms / 3 coils = 1.333 Ohms) Let me know if I can help with anything else.
  15. Either or. I do have S4 coils I can build Assassin 10s with. Its not something that we are offering as of yet, but I can make exceptions OR a single Arsenal would work well too... how much space do you have?
  16. Along the lines of the BL promo we finished building up the parts we had for the X series and will be offering them in pairs until they are gone (as a thanks to those that have helped us turn 1 year old). (2) 10" X series subs $150 shipped (2)12" X series subs $160 shipped We can offer deeper discounts for 5 or more subs as well. We built up about 200 12s and 150 10s from old motor stock (when we discontinued them at the beginning of the year) and will be blwing them out to make room for more current line products. From today (10/18) through the end of the month (10/31 for those that cant remember ) if you buy a BL with the flatwind option you will receive the full cooling ($40) for free. All orders will be automatically upgraded. Just a little thanks to the forum and customers that have helped Fi make it through its first year. Thanks, Scott
  18. To my knowledge MTs never had a flatwind copper coil. They had D1, D2, Q2 flatwind aluminum coils, as well as the old copper D2 round wire.... not too mention the fact that the MT coils are the same as the SX. We can do quite a bit to the SX subs...
  19. Got spiders coming in to do these. More and more people are wanting 10" spider recones... Give me a little bit and Ill have them.
  20. Some... we only build with them for one OEM and for the Arsenal series from AA. We do have quite a few different versions though. What are you looking for?

Qs are our "SQ" (if they must have a label) series of subs. They will definitely get loud if you want them too as well. While I prefer sealed, most like the added boost of a ported enclosure and dont worry about group delay or the exagerated bottom end. A pair of 12s works great for a solid daily driver and with 2300W, you do great. Or a sealed pair of 15s for a little more SQ oriented setup with still solid output. Thanks, Scott

Ive seen it occur for a couple of reasons... one being the one mentioned that something cut, pierced, or otherwise reduced the structural integrity of the surround and it failed, the other is when the sub is pushed beyond its mechanical limits (99% of the time having a subsonic filter set up incorrectly for the power and tuning) and things literally beat themselves to death. If there wasnt an "oops" during installation and nothing was rubbing on it in the trunk, my next vote is for over excursion. Normally we do not cover ripped or torn parts. In the ultra off chance that it was a surround problem (never had one with this same tooling used for many years) we would gladly cover it. As for your personal request... what was this for again? Hard for me to stick a forum name to a real name
  23. It looks like it had shipped out on the 8th via USPS. Please let me know when it arrives. Also, has your brothers kits arrived yet? I am a little concerned about the time it has taken for those. Thanks, Scott
  24. Yes, we got it later that day. We processed the order and it will ship out tomorrow. You should receive an email from UPS with your tracker when it goes out. Thanks for the order and please let me know if I can help with anything else in the meantime.
  25. Dan, Heart sank when Shawn told me what had happened, but we are all glad that you are OK. Im glad for the gap insurance as well... hopefully they will take care of things quickly for you so you can get another vehicle. Sitting in the back when you were talking with Shawn there are just too many little things that did play in your favor given such bad circumstances. Hopefully it all resolves quickly and things can get back to normal.
