  1. lol... wow. Hadnt thought about that post since Tracy from Kicker seemed to end it... I left, Im happy and thats all that matters to me. Flakko... no poly mids for you! Well not until we have them back in stock anyway
  2. Me, yell? lol We are about as laid back a bunch of people as you can find. Normally when that happens, UPS is at the door and they are trying to get the last sub packed for the last pick up of the day and simply forget. Although I did have one guy that seemed morally opposed to putting stickers and the little flyer in the boxes. But he is no longer with us anyway
  3. Oh... didnt know it was only 300W to them??? Might side a little more with Nicks idea then.
  4. Found the issue... it has taken several months of playing below tuning to break them in... the filter is 27 Hz at 12 dB per octave fixed. This allows for full power to go to the subs below tuning which is equivalent to free air. Need to either get a filter in line to get rid of those frequencies, change the amp, or change the enclosure and tune lower. Or what Nick said ^^^^^
  5. email me at [email protected] and Ill give you a call. But even if I could get them shipped tomorrow (and Im not saying that I could get everything machined and built by then) you still are at the mercy of customs... which can take 6-10 days.
  6. Either both subs have problems, its a power/amp issue, or a tuning/settings issue. What are you tuned to and where is your subsonic set to? Seems like it might be playing below tuning. What amp?
  7. To be honest I dont know. China sometimes uses standardized coils. Were those 2.5" coils? But Noah might have experience with it already...
  8. Not sure what your name is, but Ill gladly send some out and verbally abuse whover packed it Send an email to sales with your name and info and Ill send some out to you. Thanks, Scott
  9. Ill have to see if I can make a good pdf/vectorized logo for Ascendant. Give me a little bit and Ill post one up.
  10. Sorry... Assassin styled ones but larger. Too much moving mass with those huge dustcaps. I can only overcome the extra mass with a larger motor (which the Havoc has)
  11. Plase send it to: Fi Car Audio Attn: Scott 5480 Cameron St #107 Las Vegas NV 89118 Please be sure to include your name, address, phone, and email on asheet of paper with the sub. Thanks Scott
  12. I had to go back and check that one...lol Yes I did say that, but it was in reference to a pair of D4s not a single sub. You are correct with the loads for a single driver. Had me worried for a second Shibby, the .75 Ohm is a DC or 0 Hz. The amp will never see that and it will be a reactive load (meaning the load will change with frequency and power applied). This is where the "nominal" load of 1 Ohm comes in. Thats the lowest reactive load that the amp will ever see, and for most enclosures it might be several times that. Thanks, Scott
  13. Yep we can add that for you. Usually UPS wont leave things sitting at apartments... but then again, not every driver is a rocket scientist when it comes to that either.
  14. Anything in the 400-600 W range should work well for them. A little harder to find a 2 Ohm mono amp though.
  15. If its a fully loaded D2, then it is machined for universal already. The D2 coil is the largest OD coil for the BTL. Anything else will swap in. Universal wont hurt the power handling at all, especially not with your coil choice. The ID difference isnt majot and on a slightly smaller ID coil, it simply flows through the axial vents a tiny bit less and over the gap a little more. Not a big deal and theoretically it might be better (havent measured a temp difference in testing though). Thanks, Scott
  16. Fi Car Audio replied to MTA's topic in Fi Technical
Let me run through and look for your emails. I set the spam filter to pass them... not sure why they were getting stuck there in the first place. As for the two MT options, Id take the pair of 12s in 3.7 over a single 15" in 3.2 Thanks, Scott
  17. I like the SSDs
  18. James, Thanks for the payment. I have processed you order and it will be finished in the next couple of days. Please let me know if I can help with anything else. Thanks, Scott
  19. I had sent you an email on the 11th with details and resent in tonight in replying to one of your emails from today. Ill repost the first answer here... Since you already have a built Q, we can only add the plug and the spider pack. We cant add the axial cooling channels. It is a recone plus the plug and would run you $115 plus return shipping. Do you have the original packaging? You can send the sub to: Fi Car Audio Attn: Recone 5480 Cameron St #107 Las Vegas NV 89118 Please be sure to include a sheet of paper with your name, address, email, and phone as well as what you want done to the sub. We will call for payment (for either paypal or cerdit/debit card) or you can send a money order along with the sub. I cant seem to find your zipcode so if you can forward it to me I will let you know what return shipping will be. Normally it is 3-5 business days to recone things and add the plug plus return shipping. It should be able to take the power of that amp if things are set up correctly in your system. Thanks, Scott
  20. I had sent an email to Penni this morning with the tracker and info. Its scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Thanks, Scott
  21. Glad they are working out well for you and thanks for the nice review. Please give us an update in a few weeks Thanks, Scott
  22. Agreed... if you want to biamp definitely go active. MUCH more control. While we have done tons of work on a comp set, it has been on the back burner until things get rolling smooth with the company in general. Dealers have requested a few other things before a higher end comp set from us. It will get done, just not for a few months. (and it wont be biampable) Thanks, Scott
  23. I havent released the specs for the Arsenal lineup as I am testing a S4 coil for them. I can break that one down to a D2, as well... we will see what it looks like spec wise first, but there hasnt been much initial interest from dealers for a D2 or S4. Most were talking about a pair of subs on a 1000-1200W amp, which the D4s seem to cover for most amps. Hopefully by the weekend Ill have specs for those and release both. D4 will be the initial version for sale though. Thanks, Scott
  24. The 1.4 coils are the D2s. We do machine each motor differently and what we machine them to is set by the customers choice of coil, or by them selecting "universal". Each motor is machined to optimize the gapping for each coil as they are slightly different in ODs. The universal option allows the use of the largest OD coil in the series and therefor all of the others as well. In your case, the D1.4 coil is the largest OD and so it is also the same as the universal option. You can stick any of the other coils in the motor... with the exception of the high xmax coils if it is only a 2 magnet motor. Hope that makes a little sense.
