They're a waste of money ...What you need to do is learn how to manipulate your woman into not being pissed off at you, then you can work yourself between her legs fairly easily ... Important thing to remember is not to argue ... If you think you're right, you're screwed. You don't necessarily have to admit that she was right (she usually isn't because she's a woman and woman are almost never right), but make her feel as if you accept her opinion on the matter while hugging her and softly telling her sweet nothings. I can't stand Linksys routers ... They may be a little more reliable than other brands, but they cost an arm and a leg, they're a hell of a lot more restrictive, and they're a pain in the ass to set up compared to other brands (i.e. D-Link)

New guy was hired today as a technician, was asking me questions all day because the other tech was too busy. I have no idea why we hired this kid, he's 19 and knows nothing about fixing computers. So, basically, all day I did his job and mine. I talked to my boss about why I wasn't considered for the tech job and he told me it's because I'm much more valuable in sales than I would be in tech. I asked him how he figured that and he said that it's really hard to find someone who is knowledgable and has great customer service skills whereas it's easy to train a technician. I said, "That's all fine and dandy, but that doesn't put any more money in my pocket. The techs make twice what I make." All he said was, "Yeah." I said, "Well, if you really feel that way, don't you think I deserve more money ?" He said, "No" and walked away ... Fvcker ... Stab him in the throat ...

Ahah, my friend ordered a Connect3D Radeon X1600 Pro off the internet and phned me up to go install it for him ... I went and installed it, ran 3DMark05, and it scored very low (1600) ... I found that quite odd for an X1600, so I loaded up Everest to check to make sure that it wasn't underclocked or anything and guess what I find ? The thing only has 4 pipelines ! LOL, the X1600 Pro is supposed to have 12 ! I then decided to check the manufacturer's site and, sure enough, the manufacturer even advertises that it's only 4 pipes. He paid $130 for the card and, thus, officially got owned ...

Background story:I'm in a long-distance relationship, GF came over for a night, we had a lot of fun, we made plans for me to go over there next week. I completely rearranged my schedule so that I could go over there next week. I then tell her to make arrangements so that she can pick me up from the ferry on Wednesday night. Tonight, she decides to tell me that they're having a get together instead and that "it's a bad time to come." When I asked her why, she said because I'm "socially retarded." When I asked her what that's supposed to mean, she said, "because you don't know how to act at a party and you don't talk to people you don't know." BTW, that's code for "I don't want you hanging around me all night" ... I can only imagine why So I've decided that since I have had like 3 girls I know who have expressed interest in me in the last 2 months, I might as well just go be "socially retarded" with one of them on my days off next week ... Oh, she also tells me I'm not being very understanding ...

Day off ... w00t ... Designed an enclosure for a friend from work yesterday, we're going to build it today or tomorrow ... It's for a pair of Kenwood 12" subs running on 200 watts each, so it's nothing overly fancy ... We were in one of the new local shops a few weeks ago looking at amps and he asked the owner how much it would be to do a ported enclosure for him, owner quoted him $250, I said I could do it for $100, shop owner kinda got pissed off for undercutting him and asked me if I even knew what I was doing ... Now, normally, them's fighting words with me, but I explained to him that I've been designing enclosures for several years now and make several hundred a month designing enclosures for people online (all of which goes to my GF because she moved to a place she can't afford, but that's another story). He seemed to somewhat accept it, although seemed skeptical of my abilities. He said that if I can hit 130 dB without it sounding like ass, he would like to have a discussion.

GF came over last night ... I was worn out to begin with and, after having sex as soon as she got there, we went out for dinner and I guess the drink made her horny, so she wanted seconds ... I was pretty much done after that, but she wanted me to stay up and watch a movie with her ... I remember getting up and laying on the couch, don't remember how I got to bed Woke up this morning to my GF rolling a condom on ... I guess she didn't get enough last night ... Normally, I wouldn't complain except that it was at like 7 am and I was still sore from last night ... Afterwards, went back to sleep, slept until 10, got up, and had to go to work ... Unfortunately, she had to leave that afternoon, so I had to say goodbye before work ... I really wish she would've come over when we could spend more than a few hours together ... After work, drove one of my friends home. She told me she's pregnant, just found out 4 days ago ... She's not overjoyed by the fact since her BF is 27 years old and has been unemployed for the last 8 months ... He still acts like a teenager as well ... Doesn't seem like this is going to go well ... I personally think she should get an abortion, but she's not sure what she wants to do at this point ... She lives out in the boonies, so on the way home, I got a nice chance to really open up my car. Twisties are awesome in a quick and nimble car ... I do, however, need to get better tires for sure My rear tires are quite bald, suffice to say I had a little too much fun in a parking lot last week ...

7900GT rocks ...

Everything does not look fine ... Not fine at all ...For one, he has 2 instances of Windows Update, which is odd in its own right ... One of them is run under a user account, again, arousing suspicion ... Not necessarily implying the cause, but I'd definitely look into that ... Two, svchost.exe is overloading the CPU. This process is most likely System Restore given that it's one of 2 svchost.exe files that consume that much memory (other one being indexing, but that was disabled in SP2). The other possibility is that it may be a virus, but I doubt it. Three, he's obviously not running any sort of anti-virus or anti-spyware program and using Internet Explorer. No AV + IE = death if you click on the wrong thing ... Not to mention the amount of spyware you're likely to pick up with IE ... Four, Quicktime is a waste of resources ... Uninstall

After almost a month with no bass, I'm finally ready to build an enclosure for the 10W0s to fit my car ... Not nearly as fancy as the one I designed for the GF's car or my C10a enclosure (which I lent out to my best friend's GF and has suspiciously gone "missing"), but I believe it will sound good ... We'll see tomorrow night whether or not I've lost my touch
