Hi.. this is my first build so i have little experience right now. Im getting 1 ICON 12 with either an AQ1200 or an AP1500 amp. I drive a 2000 jetta, the trunk is about 40 inches wide. I am not really sure what type of enclosure i need, the specifications for it, or where to get one so any help would be nice.

Personally, not at all. The AQ amps will do their rated power if not more. Plus, they have a clip indicator LED on the bass knob that tells you when your sending a clipped signal to the woofer. My friend has a DCON 12 hooked up to an audiopipe 1000w amp... there are a lot of audiopipe amps on ebay for really cheap... would one of those be a good choice or is the AQ amp better? AQ is better but I have an audiopipe AP 1500 and it does what I need it to. Yea i think i am stuck between the AP1500 and the AQ1200... but the AQ is about $100 more... is there any reason why I should get the AQ?

Is the sundown amp worth the extra $$

What do you drive? How much room do you have to spare for an enclosure? I think I know a good amp, but I will hold out until I get those answers. I drive a 2000 jetta... It has a decent sized trunk that is about 40 inches wide

My budget is $400 I want the system to sound really good and get loud Not really sure what box it will be in... haven't looked into it yet and I have little experience so if you have any suggestions on a box that would also help.

i am looking to get 1 icon 12 but i am not sure where to start looking for an amp. Any suggestions?

xcon are a little out of my price range.... and i dont really want to wait longer than 2 weeks

When do you think that the ssa icon 12's will be in stock? I am looking to buy one but if it is going to be a while before they will be available then i might buy a dcon 12 instead.. Thanks
