  1. That's why it's called an ALTERNATEor ..............the rectifier(diodes) turns the AC to DC
  2. In the alternator. Oh I thought you meant diodes outside of the alt lol. Yeah just switch it to AC I guess. Make sure you use a clamp meter if it's anywhere over like 500 mA or whatever your DMM is rated for.. I was told to set it to ac volts and measure at the bat. Which I did and got .05vac You measured at the battery? Your alt puts out DC volts not AC. Not if a diode is going bad. Alternators put out ac voltage the diodes turn it into dc volts.
  3. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_38338_Precision-Power-P900.4.html I have seen some real good feedback on these lil guys................11x7x2 inch footprint fits the bill too......nice price to boot
  4. One of my all time favorites for SQ has to be Celine Dion - The power of love, has some ridiculous sustained drops....... Nu Shooz - I can't wait will give your whole system a good workout also.......
  5. Thank-you sir.............just didn't dig deep enough
  6. What happened to the box plans that once were available for download? I am wanting to build a standard single DCON 10 enclosure for my Fi X, but I can't find the plans anymore.
  7. After reading the manual................its not much of a filter anyway.................either fixed at 45hz or 150hz...... I'll just let HU do the filtering.............
  8. Thanks.............I know they have changed hands since then...........that is my major concern.......I have an email into Soundstream about the availability of the chips............I may just let the hu do the hi pass and leave it at full range.........is going in a small build for my knock around car.........just using stuff I have laying around...
  9. I have an older(99-01timefame) lil wonder 4 that I have misplaced the crossover/filter sip chips for. Does anyone know if they are an electronics supply house item or will I need to contact Soundstream to replace them?
  10. 18mm if memory serves...............will be on 500wrms
  11. Like title says........what is the recomended port area for an X 10? It will be in .75cuft using aero port...............I'm thinking I read a 2.5" was enough once just need confirmation.
  12. The nickle plating on those screws are actually helping them turn........nickle is VERY slick......try the next size larger in a COARSE thread drywall screws......or just use bolts with nylock nuts.......
  13. Which sub is it?----in relation to port wall... It is possible that the driver closest to the port opening is unloading due to the wall not being fully behind the driver...
  14. Yep........left Las Vegas at 4pm yesterday!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!
  15. Drivers ordered, waiting patiently. What does the backlog look like? Ordered 11/30 processed 12/01. Invoice number I-17160/00. I know you all are BUSY and they are WELL worth the wait, just curious on lead time.
