  1. cool idea.. to bad caj is already doing that:)
  2. as was mentioned- he is over on caj quite a bit.. check there.
  3. I got my two 3HP ceramic and four 3HP neo motors when High Desert Audio on Ebay. They are the motors from the Lightning Audio Storm series. I paid between $22 and $35 plus shipping for each of my six motors.-Robert nice! very good deals.. i used to buy those also:) too bad they are gone!
  4. That's why I got eight TC-9 motors with 1" mags from TC Sounds. I'm going to put my 18" recone kits on four of them. If they work out, I'll recone the other four the same way. It will be nice having a total of eight 18's in my home theater. Then I'll take my neo 3HP motors and recone for smaller, sealed boxes. Probably 15's or 18's. Using those motors in an IB configuration would have been a waste of BL. -Robert i ordered 10 tc9's, 10 3hp's, a few lmt's, and 6 neo 3hp's (couldnt pass em up at the $75 each i was offered them for:)) also some tc7's, and others:) cant wait to get em:)
  5. Should be able to do anything with it.. it is a pretty standard motor.. i have seen fi recone em bofore.
  6. thats good to know...but nick said he'd have to talk to scott, and i'd have to send it in, because evedintly theres different 3hp motors... there were several different 3hp variations..
  7. out of curiosity.. what is the question?
  8. i dont really live there, but i would be happy to drive to meet up:)

  12. I have personally had better luck with refurbs than new.. then again- i only order my refurbs through hda..
  13. I would suggest just getting a new 12 spoke frame.. they arent that expensive.. and cleaning glue off of a frame sucks:( otherwise, i dont know what to tell ya.. if the bolt pattern is the same, i suppose you could...
  14. what about 8kw daily:P how long will they last on that?
  15. hope that helps (and to be clear- not my pics, i just looked round the net:))

aren't they solely online? dunno, but that's what i thought....
  17. no its not. they may be able to recone it, but they will charge $$$$(they charge "prototyping" costs ) i would try t3 audio, or soundstream themselves (actually the ss recones arent that expensive!)
  18. yes! post the link up man!
  19. TSNS? ouch! nice woofers, though
  20. lol.. no.. fi doesnt recone 4" coils (you DID say soundstream xxx motor.. did you maybe get it from corey anderson.. lol thats my old one:)) Look into t3 audio, or soundstream themselves:)
  21. yeah- good idea! plus its always nice to get various opinions!
  22. same as i told ya at roe- Was the original sub that re came out with, replaced by the sx, I personally liked the HC better:) as far as the same as concept- i cant comment on that, sorry:(
