I didn't start chit with anyone on CA.COM. I started talking about the conspiracy in the Lounge over there where supposedly "anything goes", and people were calling me a "chink" and using racist slurs, but I started revealing information about the Jewish conspiracy and had a bunch of people attack me and ban me without reason. They literally had no reason when they banned me, and I found out later that the admin says he was Jewish and that's why he banned me. My crime there was revealing information that certain admins didn't want on the board. I just wish I would have gotten a warning, because having been in the Lounge for quite a while, I noticed there wasn't anything that was supposed to be "off limits" when it came to the topics of conversation. If they would have told me not to talk about Jews or a Jewish conspiracy I would have listened. I just got banned instantly though, permanently. Things like that is what makes me believe it's a Jewish conspiracy rather than a Freemasonry conspiracy. I can talk about freemasonry being behind it on a message board all I want, but if I mention Jewish connections, I get banned pretty fast. Why is that? had NOTHING to do with jews. I assure you, i knew what i was paying for. it didnt help when my tinsels ripped out of the spider. it didnt help when the coil former came detatched (bad glue run from precision) it sure didnt help when i had to call and try and deal with tc sounds "customer service" (a joke at best) ya, i enjoyed my tc stuff. i really did. i didnt enjoy the fact that they were really made with subpar parts.

Ive owned several. lms's, tc5200's, 3000's.;. what do you want to know? in retrospect, no they werent worth it. especially when chit started breaking and i had to deal with them to get it fixed.

Hey not saying i dont agree with you. just posting what i was told:) as for it being a problem? i posted that, and was told- whether or not you want to believe that its up to you. Im not in a position to say yes or no.

as an update to all-I have spoken with ed (exceptional customer service, i must say) and we have determined the glue was a factory defect, and was not like that from the factory (the epoxy is still slightly tacky. they say it was an improper mixture. as the driver was likely mounted on the side, it ran. this would NOT have been noticeable during a QC check. just a bit of an update.

agreed. and i do see your point. i hope you can see mine.. as i said. i like the sound, i question the build quality. i have this one driver here, and a few "glamour shots" from ed that show these same defects. maybe its poor pictures? i really dont know. all i can base off of is this one driver here:)

oh and on the topic of tearing apart other subs the only other one i have posted is a mach 5 spl i tore apart. i posted it as well:) should be in teh m5 section. if you are REALLY interested, i can probably re up teh pictures!

I understand where you and the OP are coming from, but the problem is this is all sampled from an abused, blown driver. If it was bought brand new from ED then i would understand. Bottom line is we have no idea how much power it received, enclosure it was in, or other environmental variables that were involved, with this driver(he said he bought it from a noob). Again mine has NONE of the signs this driver has regarding the glue, dust cap, spider damage etc. Can you see where im coming from here? I just think its a poor example to base an opinion on. The only thing i see that someone may not want is the thin spiders. However this is a SQ driver not a massive SPL sub. I do find the break down of the driver interesting and wish more people would do the same with other drivers. my question to you: what does the excess glue, and the not completly glued down dustcap have to do with abuse? serious? If i had torn down a brand new driver, it wouldnt have shown the tears in the spider. i did NOT rip on ed for it being blown. it happens. i dont know what happened here, nor does it matter, really. I didnt go into the sound of the driver (other than saying the truth. the several i heard all sounded nice! i would have considered it for my sq build.) what i was showing is the build quality on this particular driver. i never claimed this was representative of all ed units (although i do question it, going purely off pics on ed's site/posted by ed) showing the glue not being too consistant) I am sinserely happy you like your driver. I do respect the work put into teh design of it. it still isnt built well:( i wish you complete enjoyment out of your system, no matter what product you need to get that.

STOP CALLING IT A REVIEW. Are you dense? really. this is an overview of parts used/general assembly. yes the spider is torn from use/abuse. problem is.. that shouldnt happen. the spider is retarded thin. absolutly retarded. and lets be clear here.. are you saying its OK to get a chitty driver because other companies do it also? really? the glue spewed everywhere is not a result of abuse. that is chitty build quality. the dustcap not being glued down? not abuse. chitty build quality. you dont get it do you? the driver sounds FINE. the build quality is NOT. more fine ed build quality. 400 watts did this- im sure that was abuse too, huh?
