  1. No matter which way you cut it....146db sealed is quite an acomplishment!
  2. Mark I still say your neighbours hate you. LOL. Or at least me parked in your driverway.
  3. That's great. I guess you have every song you ever want to listen to on CD then? A good SAT install will sound just as good as an MP3. A CD will sound better than either. If you can tell the difference going down the road, the problem is with your install, not the SAT broadcast. Umm. No. There are crap loads of people that have the same opinion as myself. Its plain and simple....they use very crappy compression methods. I had the acutall hard wired sirus tuner. And to say that it was as good as mp3.....well I'm not even going to comment on that. Lets just say SAT radio has its place. But the quality IMO just isnt there.
  4. I cant stand satelite radio, it sounds like ass to me.
  5. New Amp + Ipod conection cable = Ear Sex.
  6. I feel your pain. I went through 5 alternators and 5 batteries in 5 years. I was almost ready to blow my frickin car up I was getting so pissed. I finally ditched the rebuilds for a new lifetime warranty alternator, through a red top in and.....knock on wood....its been a year and a bit. But now I have no voltage drop at all! No matter how loud I play it.

I will thats a given. I just want to wait until I have it all dialed in.
  8. Well its in. And what an increase in SQ....WOW! The Maw's truel do sound impressive. I have the merlin amp wired at 4 ohm in which it is CEA Rated at 400rms. But it is louder with more impact and sub controll than my Phoenix Gold TI600.2 had and it was rated at 604rms@4ohm. There is so much output that as of right now I feel no need to change the voice coil configuration.

No I meant the merlin is way more efficient than the ti. I had a real chance today to do some listening. And there is a noticable increase in overall sub controll and SQ with the merlin on my substage. Its truely remarkable. Now with the merlin in, now granted it is still at 4 ohm, Playing at max volume my voltage doesnt drop below 13.5v. Befaore with the ti on the substage I would drop to 12.8v on hard hits. Merlin [email protected] ass...LOL All I can say is I am Very Impressed!
  10. So we know it can move alot of air and take alot of power in doing it. But I guess what everyone is wondering is how would it sound as a DD?

I finally got this amp installed today. And based on the comparison to my previous sub amp PG ti600.2 which was rated at 604rms@4ohm. I can say that either the PG amp was overrated or the merlin was underrated by quite a bit. In output they seem very close @ 4ohm. But the difference in efficiency is HUGE!
  12. Guys Remember Black lettering does nothing for this endeavour, Try to make lettering in colours other than black. I'm kinda liking this one...
  13. I can understand everyones gripes with the company. But I myself have orderd from them at least 4 sepperate times with no problems at all. I currently run the edi 6500 components and have a 16Ov.2 sitting at Marks place and am quite happy with them both. Even with the US/CAN border crossing issues I would buy from them again in a heart beat.
  14. I second what denim said!
  15. But I will say that the first one that I put on the drivers, I think It was BigE's. Upon first glance on the driver reminded me of the old Kicker Logo for some reason. Denim, I will try to do more as time allows.
  16. To add a bit of a twist I put a couple of the ones shown above on a pair of the MAW 15's.
  17. Its nice to know that these protos survived the shipping. Loyd what are your initial expectations of this driver?
  18. I'm diggin that one.....but the color would have to be inverted to a white letering on a black background.
  19. I'm not even sure if a blur can be silk screened on. Personally I prefer a solid look.
  20. I wanna, But this bastard is so big that I have to do some finagling of my amp rack to make it fit. Its damn near 22" long Hey it takes talent to make people laugh when they cant understand a word you are saying. LOL "Borky, Borky, Borky!"
  21. Yes, I believe that would be pushing it.
  22. Got it earlier this week and I'm putting it in next weekend. Now its time to give the Maw 15's a work out. Mark, you'll be one of my first stops saturday night USAmps MD1D:
  23. In that first pic he sure looks impressed.
  24. WOW! That thing looks like its got a 12" mounting depth. Impressive though. Hey mark.....do a sonotube enclosure with 4 of those for your house...LOL.
