Well Planning for the new truck. And it started out as, Its an expensive truck and its gunna be my DD, so just the stock Navi, a 10 and some door speakers... Then It turned into Well, maybe a couple Head rest monitors and 2 low end 10's in small sealed box.... One thing leads to another, and well Im going all out again....Aside from the video equipment and door speakers and chit...I want 2 10in BTLs and a Hifonics to power them... Is there any reason I shouldnt use the 10in BTL for DD? Would I be better of with a BL? And most of you wont care, but ill be finishing up just in time for bike week....which means ill be done in time to turn around and drive back down for SBN

Same Store getting some beer tonight. Im sitting at the counter while the girl process's my Electric Bill, and i see some guy walk in, maybe mid 50's, wearing a suit, got a nice Escalade on factory 22's at the pump. All of a sudden from behind me i hear him say, well if anyone steals your car, you can hear em pull away..(You could hear it inside pretty clear) I kinda chuckled and said yeah, I got my keys in my pocket and its locked(remote started/alarm). He said oh well it sounds really good. Finally I turned to him and said, ya know, its not even turned up (I had it on about 10 for volume, it was playing a song with a bad bass line, and it was a dvd music video, so the sound isnt the best.) The bass just carries. When your in the car its perfect. So he looks at me and says "You mean it gets louder??" I just laughed and said ohhh yea... So he asks if he can hear it and of course I said yeah. Popped in Dem Jeans as I was hitting 139 with it on the TL, Rolled the Window up and cranked it to full tilt. He just gave me this look. He said something but I couldn't hear chit.. So i turned it down and got out to talk to him, and he was like honestly, it sounds so good, I cant stand listening to those chit boxes drive by with every part of there car rattling, and ya cant hear the music. He shook my hand, said nice to meet ya and left... I love cool old guys..Dont see many of them anymore...And it was nice to show off all the money I have into my complete system..instead of the people who just care about the bass

Congrats man! Youll love em.. I was a little disappointed Mine didn't come in a wooden crate like the BTL. Damn you scott! But honestly, it was packed good, and Although sever abuse would have damaged it, i think it would probably have survived alot..if scott packed it even better for you, then you should be golden..

ok two thougths(did you get my PM) You can either A. Build a box and fire the subs any direction but up..and fab up a mount for the top of the box or B. With the deep ass cargo area that the ZJ has, you could build a false floor for the bottom, put the tire underneath, and put the box on top(If you need help with the design, let me know, I know what to do)

I am seriously considering the crunch, i have just heard so many bad things about the... What other amps will give me what I want... 1500 or so at 2ohms Also How much of a difference will it make using a 50hz(or any higher tuning) than 32. Im thinking either A. Go with a high tuned 10cube box...just for comps, B. Switch to Areo Ports with Adjustable tuning...

Welll..Im not sure, I dont know how much a difference the higher tuning makes, but i hit 140 with a BL 18 in a 32hz box at 750w..so to me your score is awesome... What power does your amp put out?

Bl 18, how much am I looking at for new Voice Coils in Dual 1ohm? And How hard are they to swap out. I want to be able to swap them for comps

Yeah I have looked at them... What are the specs? I know 1ohm But what about @ 2ohms, and what do they push out there max at 12v or 14v?

Thats what I thought was more port area, but the designer said that was fine(one of the reasons I asked you guys) And yes, Bracing will be done, aside from the double baffle, and I will be rounding the port edges, and putting 45's in the corner... Well what I will probably do is take card board tubes and cut them for the corners and then resin over that..
