how about second skin overkill... or mayber the thicker overkill pro... i used it to keep my box from ripping up my sound dapening (it messed it up pretty bad the first time) anyway it held up like a champ under the weight of the box, 4 8g wires, and a 15 (mt and XXX) but i had the stock carpet over it if that matters (it was pretty thin because it had a hard backing to it i ripped off)

ya why dont u pick different amps. those kickers are rated at 2 ohm no? and they arent strapable so just find some rated lower and are strapable

where do u live? ill install it for 300 even... lol the shop i work at wouldnt charge 200 for that install (im pretty sure)

because i have asked why a RE dealer has a broken XXX 15 and has it sitting there for months at a time... He responded that RE must recone them themselves and he cant do it (mind you he has reconed pretty much everything on the re line up as well as some other woofers) So if the design is soemthing thats not easily reconable and it requires a machine or whatever then i dout FI would have it for a woofer they dont sell.

you should be fine assuming your amp is a newer one (95+) for high output alts... check out powermaster, ohio gen, iraggi alts, and high output alternators

ya i belive they are quite busy with finals so give it some time and you should get a responce from a FI employee soon... but im pretty sure its not a possibility

fi doesnt have 06 recones... neither do RE dealers... for 06 XXX woofers they must be sent back to RE (ive been told many times by the owner of a RE authorized shop)

When you get to 2k+ rms subs sq isnt going to be top of the line... Ive personally only herd the 9518 DD done as a direct replacement for a RE MT. They sounded better IMO but not as clean as the FI Q 15 ive herd. You must remember how subjective SQ is and your asking it on subs that werent ment for sq. For your space and power requirements i would try 2 fi q's sealed and if output isnt up to par go ported

ok im going to try to make this short and simple because ive been thru hell looking for a new HU that can beat my RAVDVD1 (its nice but lacking a lil and very slow) im lookign for a few features i need and a few i want and other then that i dont care what else it has... so far ive found some close canidates but nothing for sure yet (top is JVC and i dont want a jvc to be hoenst) Features i need: 5.1 support with 6 rca outs dvd video support single din sized Features i want: DVD audio support Ability to handle high SPL USB input DIVX (very very important but all in all i could do without if everythign else was right) 4v+ preouts with 2 360.2 processors and 12 channels of amplication i have tons of tuning abilities so all the rest of the deck abilitys is just icing on the cake.... So if anyone knows of of something i might be able to use or if i could get something custom done or my ravdvd1 remannfactured to include some of those want features and to go faster let me know.

not to bash FI because i havent herd the btl but i have used the RE MT. In terms of SQ it was great at low volumes but once i got the watts pumping it sounded like ass imo. THen again my box was tuned higher for more spl (45hz) and i like sq probably more then you. Ive been able to talk to Steave meade about sq on the BTL's and he personally likes their sound. If your still on that budget id get the 2 q's but a woofer that can handle the power and i have liked the sound is the 9515 by DD. Quite pricy thou
