I fixed the Vid, I had never posted a vid before, sorry. Wes

Well on saturday it was such a nice day that I thougt Id work on my stuff, also the fact that my Fi shirt was coming got me in the mood! I was out to fix the fact that my box was above my window and the floor just looked like "poop" anyway. Heres what is was: Notice how it sticks above the window like 3' So I touched everything for the first time since the night I put it all in, and got to see my Q out the box for the first time since the day it came. Also I took off the floor and all the crap that raised it up . Anyone who has had an S-10 know of the hump in the back. So I cut the feet down and screwed them to the box and "WOLA!" A little bit nicer looking box that sits at window level! And Last of all After I was done, and i had my camera i decided to make a little vid it shows a little excurion, Its nothin special but when i am away from my house and have my camera ill make a real vid. (its hard to make one while sitting in the seat w/ all doors & windows close and turned around backwards in the seat) Also thankyou Scott for the Shirt and stickers there awsome I cant wait to wear it, also i excited to rep Fi from the sticerks as well. Thanks alot man!

2 Q 12's should be perfect for you. In the great 12 challenge the judges rated the sq of the Q's epual to the w7's but I think the Q's will get louder, but then again Ive never heard any w7's tho. Wes

When I was talkin to Scott about my box I asked him to make it sound really good and get really loud and he made me one that does both very well. Though I dont know what boxes the BTL's love but my Q sure loves it. It would deffinatley need some bracing WES

I think you can, haha. But really its all about the box. We pretty much have the same set up except for the box, cuz I know my Brutus isnt puting anywhere near 1600watts lol. BTW what song did you go w/? Wes

Theres no problem with the sub on the seat, it is thin enough that there is like 2 inches between when my seat is where it needs to be. But if my back ever hurts it doubles as a messager lol. And to Casey1217, Your the guy w/ the Jeep and the Q 15' right? You messaged me right before this fourm went down and I never got to get back to you. I was hopin you would find me agan. So before the crash I had posted a build log of my stuff and it was sweet but that was a long time ago. I started out as pretty much a noob but before I bought anything I read constantly on forum to absorb all possible information so now I am somewhat knowlageable of everything. I started out with my 98 S-10 And I did the big 3 with 4 gauge which was really easy Then I picked up my wires off ebay (used) and i got a Stinger distributer and voltmeter(how exciting) Then I got my amp Hifonics BXI 1606 (Which was actially broken, sent back, and lost by USPS on the way there) Then I played email tag with Scott about a box for my Q 15', and he was awsome enough to make not one, but two boxes for me since the first one didnt fit. So my friend who's dad is a carpender helped up built the box Then THE day that only those who own a Fi know of...The day it arrives which feels like 2 months instead of 2 weeks. Next I installed everything and it was beautiful The last thing i did was get a working amp and a Deka Intimidator, which I highly reccomend, There bascially a Yellowtop but half the price. They are $118 shiped on ebay. And my first score ever, I couldnt be happier with it. Thankyou to everyone at Fi and Scott for all the help I recieved. Wes

Thats still f'n loud, but i bet you can get a lot more out of it. I had the same problem with the wrong frequency, I hit 45 on music then when i burped i hit a 40 so thats most likeley the probelm. wes

Ive got a Q 15' and on my only run ive done i hit a 145.4 in the headrest, and it was on "Throw it Up" I havent tuned anything yet or tones so who know how much more i could do. Wes

Hey ive got some plans that Scott made me a couple months back for my Q 15' the box is 4 cubes at 30 hz the dims are 24-33-14 or 24-28-17 if either of these work just pm me and ill get them to you. Wes

I would deffinatley go ported, its worth it. Mine is ported and it sounds fantastic, and gets loud enough. As long as it is in the proper enclosure that is. Wes

Alright so I have had my system in for a couple of months now and I have finally had some time to really get to know it. Now that the hype of having a new system is over I am starting to listen to my normal music and not just rap, so thats stuff like 311, Eve 6, and Modest Mouse. And i have to say is that, it sounds amazing for being a 15. It keeps up with the fastest drum kicks and its clean and crisp. I could not be happier with the SQ of this sub. Before i had 2 10's and those were amazing for rock but this is just as good if not better, I got the benefit of being much louder and having lower notes but did not give up any accuracy! Now for the SPL side of the Q. This baby is loud!!! I was totally blown away by how loud this driver will get. I went in with the idea of just having a really good SQ setup which i did, AND i got a spl score worth cometiting with! I couldnt believe it when i hit a 145.4 on my first run ever playing Lil Jon. Now I am just curious of what I can really hit after tweaking and playing tones. The only thing that could be better to me that what I have now is 2 Q 15's Heres what Im Running 98' S-10 Ex. Deka all the way!!! I have one under the hood, get 2 intmidators instead of 1 yellow top for the same price for virtually the same battery. Best deal out there in my opinion. $118 shipped is ballin' Wes

My mom's got a 4 Runner and i hope to get it one day because it just beggs for a ballin system in it. Ohh just think about all the options... Good luck bro, 4 runners are great and dont get enough respect, espicall in the custom world.

I found out about them when my buddy showed me them when they were just a few months old and I was looking to redo my system. Then i was on here reading my every waking moment trying to absorb all info on Fi. Then I bought a Q 15 and now im here posting on the second coming of the Fi forum When i first started reading on here there was only like 5 pages on their forum. then it was like 40! I feel a special bond since ive been here since they were mosly unknow to the hottest stuff on the planet. Wes

I havent had any experience with the other subs but i own a Q 15' and give it lots of power daily. I would reccomend giving it no less than 1000 but no more than 1400. I am running a Hifonics BXI 1606 on mine and its probably only pushing 1400 and it will handel it but i wouldnt give it anymore. But i have talked to a guy at my local shop who has an SSD and he said he gave it 2000 watts and it DID NOT like it and almost blew it, but it did take it for a short time. Thats my 2 cents Wes
