  1. I found a new ground point, this eliminated some pretty annoying noise in the mids and highs. The 2 4gauge wires have been upgraded to 0gauge as well. 0gauge upgraded power wire. Stinger Expert. Through the fire wall. There is a gromet there just didn't get a pic of it. New fuse to fit the new wire.
  2. A quick pic of the rear deck lid. I would like to thank my friend Kevin (kpr10is) as he is known on other audio forums for his help. We were able to knock the entire deadening job out in two days. This included the new speaker rings and crossover placement. This also includes removal and re installation of all parts, start to finish.
  3. Here are the C-pilar beauty panels. The B-pilars panels were done in a similar fasion.
  4. I found a good pic of the trunk lid finished I hope you guys like this stuff.
  5. B-pilar on the drivers side. C-pilar on the drivers side. Front door with mid mounted As a side note, the interior (skin) of all four doors had deadener applied before the inner sheet was applied. They are very heavy compared to non treated doors. i like it.
  6. More angles of the trunk Enough of those. They would take up the entire page.
  7. I have a bunch of the trunk so I will just split it up in the next couple of posts. What we started with The hole you see in the croner of the trunk has been covered with more deadener
  8. Floor boards Under the rear seats
  9. Here are the new crossover mounts a friend made for me. And with the mid mounted. B-Pilars C-Pilars
  10. Every beauty panel got a layer or two. These are the panels that cover the ski pass entry way into the trunk.
  11. Now the rest of the trunk lid. An Additional 2 layers were added here but for some reason I don't have a good pic. Rear deck got some too
  12. We ripped it all out. If you want a job done right...... That saying never made sooo much sense. Man did we add deadener. All in all over 240sq ft of Stinger Extreme Raodkill. Inside the trunk lid
  13. So the opportunity came along to add some deadener. Only snapped pics of the passenger side though. Front door Rear door Wait, did a reputable shop use duct tape to secure the crossovers to the inside of the rear door? Yep, that is duct tape. Wow did I over pay for the bare minimum of effort. Although pissed, I move on...
  14. Thanks! I know the 02' and 03's had some transmission issues, but not the 5th gens with the 3.0L VQ30DE's like mine. Other than wheel barings I really have had no issues.
  15. Thanks man. Why did you leave?
  16. I sold the 9833 and got an Eclipse 8455. It stopped working and went in for repair. I got impatient and bought Pioneer 880PRS and have been rocking that since some time last year. The guy that bought the 9833 is still using it in his Maxima and loves it. I should have kept it. Great HU IMO.
  17. More later, it is time for class.
  18. So I decide on having a B&M do the install as I still lived in an apartment and didn't have the necessary tools at the shop to complete the job. This ended up costing me. The story takes an awesomely bad turn, but I will get to that later. I decided on 2 sets of Alpine Type-R components, Alpine 4channel, Alpine 9833HU, JL 4gauge amp kit, 2 Diamond Audio TDX 12"s, Diamond Audio D61500.1, a Optima Yellow Top, and a slot ported enclosure tuned to 32Hs. Here are the pics of that install. Both amps were simply mounted to the box. It looked clean, just not what I expected for $3800. Yeah, I know, I was an idiot. Did I mention I brought the Apline amp and mids and highs to them, they are not included in that price.
  19. here are a few more pics of the drop after it settled from the long drive. It measured 25" at each wheel well. At my old shop. It is a little blurry, but I like the pic anyway.
  20. Here are a couple of random pics from the jaunt to Key West and Miami Beach. Miami Beach. My friend Jeremy's Maxima and mine just behind. Key West. A little cove we found that had noone around. It was awesome. You could literally see clear down to a depth of 4ft without issue.
  21. Another sign from heaven that this car sucks. Someoen backed into my wife at the gracery store. The new springs and struts. Springs are Tein H-techs, struts are KYB GR-2's. No pics of the struts though. Fronts Rears Took a road trip to Miami beach and the keys the day after the install. Man it was brutal.
  22. She needed a little exhaust now. I was more interested in a nice throaty sound than going fast. After all it is a 4dr sedan and I will be making it heavy soon enough. Here she is at the beach in St.Pete. She is looking a little higher than i like. More on that later.
  23. She needed some brakes, Brmbo slotted OEm replacement. Used EBC Green Stuff pads on the front. installed. A little gift we received shortly after the install. this was the wifes car. Biggest POS I have ever owned. Stolen were the stock Civic Si wheels. They were nice enough to exchange them for these neat half bricks.
  24. Here are some pics of my current car. I bought it with 11 miles on it in Tampa. An 01' Nissan maxima. It was stock for the first 3 years of its life. I seem to have lost the pictures of the homecoming. These from the following year will have to do. In the woods.
  25. I like!!!
