    Yes the BL will be fine with that power.
  5. Awesome new vid. I still love seeing peoples reactions.
  6. Sounds awesome! You made solid choices. I can't wait to see it!

    def the Q.
  8. Wow. Just wow. That is all for now.
  9. Wow. Looks like a fun project. I can't wait to start mine.
  10. ok well im probbably just going to get all four and just put two in my car for now, but then what would be a good amp? Something that will do between 1200 and 1500 watts at 1ohm. See if you can find one used here or on other car audio forums. When you are ready to upgrade. Just buy another amp and add the other two subs.
  11. How much space do you have to work with?
  12. Yes, two of those will work. I stress to you that you will be under powering them with this choice though. Roughly half of RMS. I totally understand the budget constraint though. Maybe you should go with 2 of them for now until you can properly power all four? just a suggestion though. And because I missed it, Welcome! It is good to have you here.
  13. wel i was thinking on getting one amp for 2 subs and then another amp for the other two... maybe this??? http://cardiscountstereos.com/catalog%20pa...duct+%23=A8000V and maybe run it a certain way?? Two of those won't work. And they would be under powering those subs. If you go with a single amp, it will need to be 2ohm stable, if you go with a pair of amps, each will have to be 1ohm stable. The subs are dual 4 ohm subs, so you have to be selective about your amps.
  14. I love my Q's as well. BTL's take longer, I do believe.
  15. Looks like any amp that will do between 2000 and 2500 at 2 ohms. Kicker ZX2500 would be a good option. You could also do a pair of 1000's provided they are both 1ohm stable. If you wanted to stick with Diamond, a pair D6 1200.1's would do it.
  16. I hear ya. While I would have loved to see another sick multi sub system, I totally understand. This is the same reason I can't bring myself to do more than 2 12"s. Either way. I know you will be very happy. I can't wait to demo the 12"s though. I haven't heard the Havoc's yet. The Jeep is sexy though, I must say. Sounds mean as hell.
  17. There are a ton of options. We would first need to know which voice coil configuration you went with.
  18. Just out of curiosity, why did you change your mind?
  19. So that's why I haven't been able to get a hold of him. I can't wait to see how this thing turns out.
  20. Could be a bad ground. Most likely it is an internal issue in the amp though.
  21. I don't think there is a honeymoon factor with the Q's. When I get tired of listening to a certain type of music and switch to another, the Q's always bring me back. They seem to mature very well as the soft parts break in. I have honestly never been happier sound/output wise as I have been with the Q's. I am sure you will be the same way. This is actually the first time I have bought a sub and not constantly pick out what I don't like. I am glad to hear someone else that is just as happy! What are the measurements and tuning for your enclosure?
  22. Motion to have this pinned.
