  1. Good stuff, as always. Thanks for the videos...
  2. Great choice. You will not be dissappointed.
  3. 1. I currently use 12gauge. 2. I use 0gauge. If I ever go with more or bigger amps a second run will be put in. 3. I have roughly 900 watts going to each Q 12.
  4. Where do you live mathman? I know choosing is a difficult process. I have seen and heard 6 Q 15's that will have no problem lifting the shirt off your chest. I have heard 8 BTL 15's that did the same thing. It really depends on what you want out of the system. Do you want SPL or are you leaning toward SQ. This will have a direct effect on your choice. There is another factor that Nick commented earlier, the install factor. You can take the best subs in the world and put them in a bad box with poorly tuned amps and it will sound bad. I guess my point is, if your goals are shaking the car and hair tricks, they are all, given the correct install, capable of doing so. liljohn truck has SSD's, Frankie's car has Q's, and Shawn's van has BTL's, and they can all do what you are describing. Some things to ask. What is your budget (you will go over, but it gives you a starting point)? How much room do you have to maximaize output? Do you have the electrical to support something big? What kind of sound are you looking for? Be specific. Asking how much less room one woofer requires than the other is not specific enough. It is difficult to give you a path without these questions being answered. I will be around today to see if I can help.
  5. You will be restricting the 18's potential with a box that small. What do you use your Tahoe for? You would also upset all the handling characteristics of the vehice by stuffing all that weight behind the rear axle. Is using the area where the rear seats are out of the question?
  6. Nice. I will be by later this week to give it a listen. I def like the subs better that way.

I hate to say it but it all depends on the install. In thier respective optimal enclosures the 15's should be louder. If you will "notice" it or not, we can't answer you that for you.
  8. Oh my! I love the install. Great wood work too. I give it a 10.......
  9. In for pics....
  10. Just give me you CC# and I'll do it for you! I tried to call earlier, 11:30 ish but I got VM. I will call again later.
  11. Ok, I lied. You don't have my money yet. I don't wan't to use the school computer to enter my CC #'s. Wifey shares this laptop with them and I don't wan't bad things to happen. I will see what I can work out though.
  12. You will have my money tonight. Chris
  13. That is awesome. I want to hear it. When can I come see???

In this case, just buy a second sub!
  15. Awesome! Try and shoot him another email. He may not have gotten the most recent one.
  16. I couldn't have said it better myself. Wifey is a friend now though.

It would be rediculous!!! Do it!
  18. Have you emailed him recently or a few weeks back?
  19. Congrats on your purchace. Nice window sticker too.
  20. 1) Don't continue using a damaged amp. Get it repaired. Gremlins will run wild with that issue. 2) Re-read #1. These type of issues have a tendancy to multiply exponentially. 3) If you feel confortable reconing the sub, just order what you need from Scott. There is a decent write-up on ca.com to walk you through the recone process. This is just the coarse of action I would take. Good luck and sorry to hear about the issues.
  21. I had a great time. It was awesome to see so many vehicles running Fi products. I had the opportunity to speak with Scott on several occassions. Awesome guy! Hands down the easiest owner I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Congrats to Fi and to the competitors. More later when I get the vids converted.
  22. I will be there with bells on. Hotel is reserved. I am looking forward to the weekend.
