  1. Typically if you want to fire it forward, you need to seal it off from the back of the trunk completely. Otherwise you'll end up with some cancellation.
  2. Believe they publish 19mm one way
  3. Welcome! Everyone has their own taste and opinion in equipment so you are going to get many different brands people talk about! That's what makes audio fun, getting results in different ways!
  4. Thanks everyone! Really appreciate the opinions. Will definitely try to give a review of the sub later!
  5. As long as it sounds the way I hope it does, I'll be happy...like the way it turned out, though I may change the trim panel over the plexiglass, not sure if I like the "random" shape I made it or not yet.
  6. Now that it's basically done, just waiting as patiently as possible...sigh...
  7. Geez...all these youngsters with their first sytem a year ago...lol. Here's one of my early ones, but not my first...
  8. Just have to make a lid for the storage compartment now. I just can't WAIT til the sub gets here! Hurry up Sundown! Lol!
  9. Driver's side view Passenger side
  10. Trim panel over the plexiglass window (coating is obviously still on it)
  11. So it's time to try and finish this thing...it's carpet time!
  12. I'll definitely post my progress...want to have it finished before the sub gets here! (Though I hope it's soon!)
  13. Thanks, I definitely will give a thorough review. I used to build a lot of vehicles to compete in USAC (full SQ and SPL) and a little IASCA so I have heard quite a few good setups. Plus heard some great cars from other big-time competitors in the past too.
  14. That was kind of my aim...a nice "up front" sounding bass. I had a 12 in the center sealed, and for a cheap su it sounded pretty good so I'm hoping this 8 is all people say it is and I'll be really happy!
  15. I just can't wait to hear that SA-8!!!
  16. Looks great...amazing how a trim panel changes the WHOLE look of the install! Gonna be LOUD! I need to build a groundpounder in the near future again...
  17. Thanks...actually, just uploaded a bunch of pics into my gallery earlier. They are mostly pics from working at a shop for about 10 years from 1992-2001
  18. Yeah I don't think I made my thoughts clear...I don't mean this driver in a 3-way setup, but a 3-way setup in general rather than trying to get full-range reproduction from a 3" driver...
  19. It probably won't in the box I'm building, it's tuned at about 37....but hoping it sounds good with pretty good output!
  20. I'm going to be adding a Lexan window to view that little beast, and of course clean up the edges and cover it...
  21. The top piece (going to have a small bit of storage in there)... Top on....
  22. Aeroport out to the front... Another view...
  23. Well the goldfish has survived...so here's some more... Back piece...sub will be firing down, about 4" off floor. Worked great with a cheap 12 I had in there... Passenger side view...
  24. I'll post more in a bit, my 5 year old daughter decided to show me her new goldfish...by taking it out of the tank and carrying it in her hands upstairs to me!
