  1. If anything, I think the number of people making 10-15 posts a day has gone up significantly, sure, they don't have a ton of posts yet, but they're adding up fast. Of course, there are posters with the intellect of "RL-i 8 Jones", but hey, you can't have it all Some of us are trying really hard to break into the top 20 without spamming. I'm getting there. It's a tedious process of 20+ educated posts a day though.
  2. Available options and what they do: The BL line is pretty much a lower power alternative to a BTL or a higher power alternative to the Q series of woofers. This is more of a street jamming type woofer that
  3. For SPL my box was 3.68 cubic feet before port displacement 70 sq inches of port tuned to 43 hz. My sq build was 2.6 cubic feet before port/driver displacement tuned to 31 hz.
  4. Where are you located. I'm not competing this year but I Rooney and Bob are definitely my competition area. (I'm in upstate NY). Just curious as I'm gonna need help next season going against Rooney in SS1-2 ( I think it's Rooney.)
  5. Anything can fit with some elbow grease.
  6. More pics can be found here. I have used a composite bottom with wood build up in my sq car. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=18495
  7. Poor trans-am^^ Less than 12-hours till I do my observation part of my fed-ex interview. I plan on starting off working in sorting, I might upgrade to driving (delivery) if I like it.
  8. If you lived in NY, I would talk to my buddy Jeff. He's an elite member of Team Image Dynamics and his car sounds amazing.
  9. Horns are absolutely amazing sounding when installed and tuned properly. I only suggested them b/c of their efficiency and your goal to try and keep up with two 18" tc sounds lms drivers. The harshness was because they were aimed too high.
  10. It's your system. I'm just curious who installed the horns you heard? Where were they aimed, how much power were they seeing and what kind of processing was used. What kind of processing are you planning for your alpine f1 sets... 2x alpine h701's?
  11. Since money obviously isn't the issue, I will suggest this again. Compression horns, and a very efficient midrange. Hybrid Audio L8's in doors l4 in kicks and image dynamics ultra hlcd's. Only one set, adding more speakers in a front soundstage doesn't = louder and is horrible for sound quality.
  12. Me too, I need to get on the top 20 list, almost at 2k posts.

There is room in a firebird, lol. I would personally do 2 12" Q's sealed if it were my car. Are you putting this right behind the back seat, in the t-top area on the side opposite of the spare tire *behind the wheel well.* I have a buddy that has a 96 camaro that is his sq car. I have seen many different iterations of a sub-woofer set-up in 4thgen f-bodies. There is a picture of one of his old set-ups in my gallery.
  14. LMS' work well sealed? Thought they were a port only kind of sub for some reason They like ports, but a sealed enclosure the same size as your "small, low tuned ported enclosure" would probably yield better results.
  15. Got a complex ? Sundown wouldn't have so many people riding on the companies *#%& if his products weren't so good. In the car audio world, there are very few stand-up company owners. His products are solid and he is the very best at customer service in the industry. I tend to buy products on the *Smiles per dollar* rating. I have never been disappointed with a sundown product. I can't say that about hifonics * i owned a 4 ch.*, or any of the other maxxsonics brands. When, it worked, I thought it was a great product, when it broke and I had to deal with customer service, it was a hassle.
  16. Not really any of my buisness but why was this removed, the guy is stating his opinion & maybe even facts, nobody knows but sundown what & where there products come from. I don't believe it was even meant as a shot at sundown everybody knows that they produce GREAT amps, he's just saying & I feel the same way that everybody & there brother say that hifonics don't do there rated power, all he is asking is that someone PROVE IT not once have I seen this theroy proved or disproved. I think that's a little bit ridiculous, forums are made for opinions & debates, right or wrong ? Anyway went to babbling a little bit but what good is a forum if a person can't state how he/she feels or even debate it, This post should have been left alone UNLESS he got disproved by actual testing then kept arguing like most of these idiots do anyways. Looking at the boards there are definitely some differences. I would bet that the output of the saz-1500d and bxi2006 are very similar. The hifonics amps are cheaper, but when they are working well, they are decent amps. They have issues with not breaking from what I have seen. Their customer service isn't fun to deal with either. You just need to ask yourself if ~220 dollars is worth much better customer service and a solid amp that has a track record of being damn near bulletproof.
  17. I have the same issue, at least on firefox I do.
  18. Oh, I forgot to mention, before I broke my finger last night. I rode an 07 Suzuki GSXR 600, that was lowered 2" and stretched 8". It was fun, and it wouldn't lift the front end. Probably the most secure I have felt on a bike in a long time (speaking in terms of crotch rockets).
  19. Awesome work, makes me proud as a new yorker (even though I'm upstate)
  20. too many variables to determine accurately, the mtx is more efficient, but you also didn't list what kind of power you would be pushing. The more power you apply, the more the XXX starts winning the race. It can dissipate more heat.
  21. Yeo, subwoofers do what's called "unloading" below tuning frequency, the cone isn't moving properly, the sub will be moving much more than it should be and you are risking mechanical and thermal failure.
  22. I was fricking around tonight at the car-lot. Flirting with this girl. She stole my sunglasses so I stole her truck keys, Just messing around. I ended up slamming my left index finger in my door when messing around with her. Blood everywhere, finger is all black and mangled and I didn't even get a kiss to make it feel better. Oh and 90% done on my new router table.
  23. Damnit, now I'm hungry. Jack Daniels pork chops would be so good right now.
  24. I'll be building my new router table tomorrow. I still need to finalize the drawings for my new table "saw" deck and fence, and I need a plunge router, than I should have all of the tools I could ever need.
