i feel ya man im on a tight budget cuz got a baby on the way and paying rent so cant be spending a lot but i get what i think is work my money.
if your thinking about getting an ap stop and look at the brz line of hifonics. thats what i did and now im glad i went with my brz1200

also consider wattage and voltage has a big part in being "loud" quality brands/series has a big part as well.
might have to take 4 of them compared to 2 btls. jl is more of an sq brand. to op i say go with the btls they are meant for loudness if thats your goal.

jus build box to specs and youll geta lil out of both worlds output and sq. companies have their recommendations for a reason.
why not just get some mid bass drivers lol like a pair of THESE or something similar
