I have almost the same boot size like yours.... yet I manage to squeeze Q15 in a 3.65cu^3 into it. But I have problems on where to mount my amp though. Btw. my box is still in progress. Hopefully I can coplete it by next week and get some pics and vids. Do I get a T shirt??

That would sums up for a group buy. Hey Scott... you forgot to mention that you are more than willing to ship your subs over to me in Malaysia. Would love to see someone in Asia especially in the South East (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore & Philipines) represents Fi. Even back in the days it is harder to get RE stuff. Thats explained why I have Kicker in my boot.

So it is safe to say that loading with 0.5ohm but stays within the limit would be safe. I know that the amps may get little hot if wired lower than 1 ohm but do subs do to? Anyone can explain about increase in current with voltage remains the same thinngy..... amateurs at work here... LOL

Nick Just some question here. You were mentioning that loading the sub with high current may hurt the sub when you wire it to low ohm load. Are you referring to clipping or more watts?

Just out of curiousity. Would there be an options or any improvementfor the Q like more power or xmax? Would love for the Q to hit the lows so hard like the TC subs. Also if there is an option for the Q, can I just ordered it and install with some tips from you guys or do I have to send it over. thanks

Mike You mentioned before that the RL-p 18 specs would be different than the previous 15 or 12. If I recalled it has higher power handling and xmax. Would the RL-p 15 and 12 specs now are the same or does it follow the RL-p 18. thanks

Nah I dont think I can reach 150 yet without serious sound proofing in my car but hopefully 140 - 143 db daily would make me a very happy man. Dosone... what box and power did you feed the Q's? Anyone metered the 15 BL yet?

not bad score. The great 12 challenge only manage to get 135.1 from the Q12 with 2.2cu.ft. I have a q15 and building a 3.65cu^3 @ 34hz and wondering what numbers would I hit... probably 150?...I wish.

would that be 4.4 cu^3 each or for both. If for both, doesnt 4.4cu^3 is a little bit smaller for ported.

I didnt know there were a side by side comparison of the Q and the old RE XXX? Would you have the link of the post? Would there be a fair comparison like power, type of enclosure etc.?

I would like to stay around 3.5 cu. ft. net after displacement with bigger ports. Going for 33hz instead cause my current box is 33hz and I like it. I dont think I will be gaining significant result of bigger port area but hey.. I'm not into comps either. Just wanna make it low and loud for daily. I was thinking that bigger ports will allow more air to be displace via the port correct??

I remember when I went to my so called respected local audio shop who won SPL and SQ competition and talked to the owner. He recommended me MTX subs which he said is the ultimate SQ sub. When I ask him about brahma, he gives me this look for 2 minutes and said thats a cheap ass sub. Anyway I almost turn my ass to Kicker before Scott sent me the catalog....LOL

1. What if i wanted a bigger ones than 56 Sq inch? Would that affect the Q perforamance. I dont mean to have port wars or SPL setup, but just wanna get low and loud. 2. I always use WinISD for port tuning and see the response. But since I'm unable to modelled the Q I have no idea on the ports. Dont ask me on doing the calculation on paper. 3. My car is something made locally (i'm not in the states) and you wouldnt ever heard of it. Just think of it like a mini SUV. I dont get you on the dimension.. but its pretty simple box clearly in the pics.

Guys finally going to start building an enclosure for my Q 15. My question is: 1. What is the recommended port are for the Q15? I want to make the port as big as possible for more air to move out of the port. 2. Has anyone ever modelled the Q15 in WinISD as everytime I tried to key in the value either I will get some errors or different t/s value. I dont know whether my box will yield linear response. 3. Has anyone (expecially Scott or Nick) can advise on better design than this. This is the biggest enclosure I can fit into my car (yes I own a small car). Thanks

well I tried to key in the specs in WinISD and either i had errors or it value turns out different. Is that me or its the program. Btw any other software which allows me to desings the enclosures.

Scott When I tried to model out the Q 15 TS Param into the WinISD I get error and when I tried to key in by sequence, I get different specs value compared to the specs on your site. Could you provide the specs for the Q 15? thanks Wynold

Actually USPS only send the package to Kuala Lumpur (Our capital city) and from there on our local postal service will take over. This is because USPS has no office or authority to send the packages to the specific address. So there are 2 parties who deals with the packages. You might want to guess which one is the guilty party. I had ordered over the years from the states with USPS but its the first time with sub. All packages received are nothing serious compared to this. Sure UPS are faster but I did mention to Scott in the first place that I would'nt pay for shipping something like cost half of the sub and I would'nt mind waiting a little longer. I was quoted by TC Sound shipping via UPS of $365.72 for a single TC3000 15" which in that case I can get another TC3000 15" for the cost. Btw I'm not Canadian though, Malaysian . Scott remembers me well of harrassing his email with questions that he already answer (sorry for that). Btw the sub looks good everytime I look at it. I have not start to build enclosure for it but I'll try to design and post it and see what do you think about it. thanks Wynold
