Any opinions on what the best laptop is? I played with a macbook pro today and was pretty impressed (still not impressed with the price tag) Of course people play plenty for mac pro but never for top end windows PC (a reason why I think windows gets a bad rap) so I have no top end PC to play with

However... I did get my brakes tightened up on the bike and they are perfect now. And I replaced the tube

So something let go in the Saturn shifting linkage. Its now stuck in reverse. It freely moves from R to 5 but its not shifting. I will not move in towards the other gears.... Now I get to ride my bike all week Got the tires aired up. When I came back home one had popped.... Yay!

From what I've found, a modern dino oil blended with as little as 5% synthetic can behave nearly identical to a full synthetic because of the advances.

Oil change every 3k and new filter every time. HUGE waste of money unless you basically run the thing to the max ALL the time or you drive it in MANY 2-3 mile trips constantly in ice cold weather.

Truck is already tuned. AND... Theoretically my regular maintenance expenses are the same because I'm only driving one or the other. (e.g. put 5k on truck and 10k on car, or 15k on truck) the same could be said for repairs but I know thats not true.

I can't throw away 36 em pee jeez You drive enough where paying for double insurance, double repairs and maintenance, and double depreciation is cheaper than just driving the truck? Hmm I'll have to look into it. I don't pay for insurance, but I know my parents put me as the primary driver of the Saturn with only liability so it helps instead of me being on the full coverage truck. A lot of my repairs are dirt cheap because of the free labor and sometimes cheap parts from the auto parts store So far I have replaced the clutch and recharged the AC. As far as depreciation, I only payed $1200 for the car with 70K 3 years ago. I conservatively average 2x the gas mileage (I get 2.9 times the gas mileage driving my truck 70-80 on the highway compared to driving my car 65) and with my truck I think I average around $450 a month. So its an easy $225 savings a month (up to $2700 a year) Start factoring it in for road trips and you're saving about $50 in fuel a trip

I must of missed it..... where did you score the bike? I left my girlfriends apt one day and there was a 2007 Giant Rincon laying next to the dumpster with deflated and removed back wheel, crooked handle bars, locked up rear brakes and the shifters looked like they had been through it, but I picked it up anyway. So far I've put it back together, bought a $3.50 tube, straightened the handlebars (they weren't bent but out of alignment per say) and now I have a bike with three working front gears. Considering replacing the shifters so I can fix the rear brakes and shifting. Sweet!! Thats thinking with the right side of your brain! Lefties do think with the right side of their brain
