  1. First thing is I would FIX the other sub before concluding that anything is louder or not. 2nd off is the box optimal for those subs? I know that Kicker CVR's can rattle crap in whatever junky box they are put into. Sometimes people mistake their crappy sound for more volume. You say the subs are just too big. Did you account for the volume they take up, did you make your box optimal for the 2 subs? Is it really that difficult to find the receipt for what you bought? Or maybe contact ascendant and see if they can pull it up? Do you have enough electrical to honestly support a real 2500W of power?
  2. And so it continues..... http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/46946-hissingpopping-noise-from-one-speaker/
  3. So here is the scoop. 02 Silverado with older Pio Premier, H701, C701, Sundown 100.4, Sundown 1000D, big 3 with all 1/0 (pos to alt, neg to frame, neg to cab). Had some trouble with some tweets blowing (Link to that thread) and narrowed it down to the Sundown amp. Quote from previously linked thread below Had it sent to db-r they sent it back after they replaced some things. This is what db-r said... So I got it back and during the re-install I installed a Alpine W505, added a HU ground to metal in the truck. For the amp ground I ran a bolt through my cab with 1/0 on one side to the distro and 2 2gauge strands on the other side (had it so I used it). The 2 gauge strands run to the frame. The rest was left the same Couple days later it started again.... poppin' and hissin'. I'm really at a loss on what to do now. Db-r had to TRY to make this happen and then replaced it with stuff they said would not fail, all my grounds are up to par. Could it be the H701??? I really hope not... I really have serious doubts that db-r messed up but anything could happen I suppose. I really just want to get this fixed. I can't afford to junk another $40 tweet.
  4. I want to go outside and put the double din back in the truck but the temperature and wind is keeping me inside for sure.
  5. What really blows is the guy was able to get off a bunch of DVD isos and HBO series that I didn't really care about. All that equated to about 1/2 my music collection in terms of size. I just figured that when I gave it to him he would be able to get everything off that wasn't corrupted and that there wasn't going to be a "hey we pulled most off but the HD eventually just totally crashed"
  6. So I lost basically all of my music.... Only thing I have left is some BS Stuff I downloaded off of What.cd in hopes of getting a high ratio..... :/ I always considered making my music collection completely legal.... any good options to get mass amounts of songs in FLAC (or "better") for cheaper?
  7. No, but after Kader asking last month and Dem Beats, Sean and I giving him suggestions this is what I came up with. (sorry I can't remember your real names) Kader is my real last name Michael is the first
  8. some website I found all that for a project in my IC engines class a couples years ago exactly what I'm using it for
  9. Source? Thanks, I was hoping your ears would burn.
  10. I'm looking for specs for my 5.3 LM7 Chevy engine. Do you guys have any resources to easily find information looking for rated horsepower (@ rpm), engine displacement, bore and stroke, compression ratio, number of cylinders, and if possible, valve timings, valve sizes, spark or injection timings, special design features.
  11. Funny you bring this up. How politically correct do you think it is for the kid's to push teh bus? This shit would never fly now.LOL And the thing is I would be the kid that WANTED to get off the bus to help push it. Unlike kids today who don't want to get dirty...
  12. Good choice... I'm more into whiskey then i've ever been.. I really like the taste of crown black... what are some other whiskeys like it around the price range say ~25$/ fifth my main method of consumption is usually Whiskey/7up... not as sweet. but much much better. Have you ever tryed Wild Turkey? I'm a whiskey noob.. tried Jack daniels.. thought the shit tasted like cough syrup IMO Jack is like gut rot to me. Jack is fucking terrible. As for comparable to crown for $25? Good luck. Ha! haha... okay sean.. how about AROUND 30... less than 40? WOW, teh Crown Black is smooooooth. Now I am ready to try the Crown Reserve! Like I said, try Wild Turkey, tis great sipping whiskey. I think Maker's Mark would be good too, but haven't personally tryed it , YET. Crown reserve is worth the extra price in my opinion, but I only drink whiskey and coke...

  19. Thats right! Texas is a steak bitches!
  20. I've never had a veal steak like that. When having veal can you cook it less and still get out as much flavor from the bone/fat or is it more deicate so you cook it less than regular steak? I like my porterhouse usually just above rare. At shitty restaurant I order rare but at home I'll cook my porterhouse/tbone a bit more to get some of the char/bone flavor. speaking of porterhouse. I saw a method on Good Eats to makeshift your own broiler. Its a little bit long but I bet you an skip through it to get the idea. What you guys think of this method? If you have a grill or broiler, why bother? I was unsure if that might be hotter than using my old smoky because the heat is so concentrated and close.
  21. Dry socket ? Background: I got my wisdom teeth removed When you get them removed if the cavity doesn't fill up with dried blood then you are left with exposed jaw bone and nerves = hella pain. However, I went to the Dr. this morning and he said its not a dry socket, I'm just still experiencing pain since my teeth were so deeply impacted. He said to continue doing what I'm doing and gave me a paste I can apply if things get bad. Dry socket can also be from the scab falling of prematurely. This is why they tell you not to smoke or use a straw. Did they knock you out Kader? You never know how much bone got ripped out with the teeth if they did. Hells yeah they did! One of my friends dad is a dentist and his dad did the surgery and they kept him awake. He used a mirror to watch what his dad was doing through the whole operation. He is now becoming a surgeon.
  22. Dry socket ? Wisdom teeth, pain and suckage. Crap...I want to pull mine out. Guess I'll stockpile on booze and get myself drunk if major pain comes along. What happens if you don't pull them out? I have one fully healed and no pain. And another on the way... They are only a problem if they grow in funny. Mine were sideways growing into the back of my other teeth. A doc can take a scan of your teeth and tell you real quick.
  23. Aaron, if you want to go next year I'll make a pact and split a room with ya. I've been wishin' and hopin' and dreaming to go to CES for years. Mark and I plan to probably both go next year, maybe we can get a bunch of us together and get a schnazzy suite (ala hangover sans tiger). If only I could fly down there for CES Wonder how much it would cost. Not a horrible amount but visas and stuff are more of a problem. Maybe in a few years... This year I'm going to be looking for Master's scholarships across the pond. If you find anything in Texas interesting let me know and I'll do whatever I can for ya.

  25. Dry socket ? Wisdom teeth, pain and suckage. Crap...I want to pull mine out. Guess I'll stockpile on booze and get myself drunk if major pain comes along. Worth it in the end. The damage they can cause if not taken out is much more than just getting them out. Good news is I am feeling a lot better. I think the hydrocodone was making me crazy or something.
