  1. Also need a wireless keyboard/ mouse. Main goal is quiet.
  2. Even better, so much smaller and looks less obnoxious. Any recs?
  3. Any recs on noise cancelling headphones? Pretty much for shutting out the noise on a plane.
  4. The tower came in and it barely fits. I had to take off the hinges to slide it in. I can slide the tower back far enough to put the door back on, but I may leave it off and position the tower like this to allow more air flow (and easier access to stuff). Margaret and I were checking it out this AM.
  5. Seems like the laptop is running 3x faster since I got this new monitor. It must know that its days are numbered...
  6. I wouldn't mind a vertical monitor off to the left, but I would be disappointed in the aesthetics. I would want it to look like this. Not this
  7. It was actually an improvement for me at the time. I went from the 3.5mm jack to BT on a Galaxy Nexus. I never attempted Digital Out on any of my phones, because after I set up a wireless system, I never wanted to go back. I used a Belkin adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CLYJ2I/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Only $30 back then. If I was to do it again, I would make sure I got something that supports Bluetooth aptX. At least that was the most relevant codec in bluetooth the last time I was looking.
  8. $88 when I bought it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KKHSYGE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm running the Seas/Peerless/Icon Combo with it. It only has 2V pre-outs and isn't quite as good as the C701/H701, but has all the other stereo features.
  9. Pretty much why I built. All the pre-made computers have chincy power supplies.
  10. The rest of it should be in by Wednesday. No prob on the help, I talked with my IT buddy and told him a general idea of what I wanted and he put together a parts list. Our list was 70% the same with him making different choices in the parts I felt uncomfortable picking.
  11. I bet it is. It's 27" 1080. It's overkill for web browsing, but it was so nice working on Lightroom last night. Doesn't have all the fancy colors, but it should be good for the Instagram and occasional print.
  12. That's pretty much exactly how mine was setup with a Bluetooth bridge. I set the phone volume to "max" and then controlled the volume through the C701. Do you need more than 2way+sub? The $80 HU I bought does that, has Bluetooth, aux and USB.
  13. Temp setup until the rest of the computer comes in.
  14. I believe the answer is yes. I had a Bluetooth module that connected to a 3.5mm to RCA cable. I used the C701 for volume.
  15. Bumping this back up! Will entertain offers as well!
  16. Going to be building my first computer soon!
  17. So the wife is on a smoothie kick, which I'm totally good with because it means more fruit and veggies. She mentioned getting some vanilla or chocolate protein powder. I would usually steer away, but my wife could use extra protein in her diet (hold your jokes Sean!). Any suggestions? I like bulk supplements but it's not flavored and the W is trying to make it as easy as possible to make.
  18. Because his team could never get it done by the end of October???
  19. It was everything you could ask for. College football level enthusiasm coupled with the best baseball game that will be played in a long while.
  20. Did a short little yoga stretch this morning. Just did some salutations from what I remember from my previous yoga. Half way through I remembered the whole breathing thing :). Happy baby was the best. Went from, I need coffee to function, to I need coffee to funk things up.
  21. Tomorrow I will be living my childhood dream and watching the Astros play in the world series Live!!!!
  22. I do love grabbing some fresh shrimp back home. The shrimp guys would deliver them to our house after the mornings catch. I won't make shrimp dishes at home of I'm out.
  23. There is a scientific function that determines if you need another snowmobile or if your current situation can handle an additional snowmobile. Smax = N+1 Where Smax is the number of snowmobiles you can handle/need. and N is the number of snowmobiles you currently own. This also is valid for motorcycles, bicycles, 4 wheelers, guns and any other recreational goods. Hopefully this helps you find your answer.
  24. When you are back up here Sean, you should check out Red Dot Coffee for your fix. They are a good shop.
  25. A lot of local places are open again but you only have to go a few miles south to avoid the water issue all together. I will admit that people in the north generally take more pride in their food. I feel like every place I go to at least tries.
