the 100hp chip helps alot! so u pretty much in coast mode now since baja is over? sort of. Can really spend my time getting grad school and jobs stuff figured out now. Though I just spent 3 hours talking with D. Jones about next years car. May have already finalized the new gearbox lol. So next years team has already, officially, bought their new gearbox. Well, I guess you could say so. They have to get it in, strip it of all the internals they don't want (reverse, shift linkages, etc...) and start designing a custom CNC'ed Aluminum case.- Welcome to the IHoP

We really didn't do as well as expected but we did finish up the endurance race yesterday with a working car. Just found out the unofficial results are posted. 41st overall Mainly the competition objective of making a vehicle for the average weekend off road enthusiast is pretty much a lie. Some how teams with chromoly frame custom platics and carbon fiber panels can cost less on the cost report then a team with Carbon Steel DOM, and aluminum body panels. We didn't get any kind of points for being one of very few teams that passed tech inspection first try. Then they gave away an "attention to detail" award for teams that were always prepared, and had all there registration covered, etc... Something we always did and then they give the award to Cornell, a fancy team that didn't even pass tech the first time. Because their Chromoly is all donated. you still have to put it in the cost report.- Welcome to the IHoP

So the "official" mics they use in those competitions aren't even accurate?- Welcome to the IHoP
Radioshack legal lol by legal I mean he actually was on a real mic. He just has the radio shack meter for shitzengiggles "real" mic? I'll do a bit more research. Duran sounds like he could be correct As far as I know the audio shop in town has a real setup and competitions on the reg. Never been there so I don't know there setup I severely doubt they have a "real" mic. Not many people are willing to pay for what would truly be required to measure in a calibrated fashion and even if they do, they don't know how to use it.- Welcome to the IHoP

I'm not a big SPL fan, but I will commend my buddies work. 4 15's in a Montero, walled off now with 4 RF 1500's (used to be 2). I "listened" with 2 and it was entirely too loud, which is just perfect for SPL ofcourse. He also completely fiberglassed the roof up front over some MDF, that shit is solid- Welcome to the IHoP

My buddy has a cheap radio shack meter so I put it in my truck yesterday. 103db full tilt on a rap song And his Montero did 150db legal yesterday lolz- Tweeter Problem
It occurred at normal listening levels, no rocking out. Tweeters do not sound strained at all. EQ is flat all the way. Don't believe there is anything interfering with the tweeter mounting- Welcome to the IHoP
