Doesn't bother me, as long as it is good. I realize that living near the sea doesn't mean much.

Welcome to the IHoP
Tokyo was great tonight. I got an obe roll (spicy shrimp tempura topped with crab meat hot sauce and green onion), and a Kilaua roll (spicy crab meat, avacado, cream cheese, cooked with tempura batter, served with eel sauce). Obe roll was good, I like the hot sauce and crab. The Kilaua roll is what I would call "americanized" because the outside is tempura for the crunchy fried taste and I'm sure the spicy crab isn't Grade A+. I was in a time crunch when ordering and the waitress suggested it, so I got it. Wish I would have went Philadelphia roll. A friend of mine ordered a Dragon Roll (California roll topped with 6oz baked eel, sesame seeds, and eel sauce) and didn't like it so I got to eat most of it. Eel was not that great. Not sure how it is supposed to taste but it tasted like sardines a bit. came with some tuna on the side which was good I also got some leftover cruch roll (Fried shrimp tempura, marinated crab meat, covered with crunchy tempura batter with masago, sesame seeds and eel sauce) Another "americanized" roll but it still taste good and was free, though I prefer rolls covered with fish but go figure they cost more Washed it all down with 2 Kirin Ichibans. To top it all off I forgot my wallet so my friend covered me. (though I am paying him back, it still felt all free )

you typically make home made sushi? By the way, I'm cooking salmon tomorrow any recipes/tips (electric stove FWIW) [i say this like it a question but I fully expect a thorough response] What are you having with it? Biggest key with Salmon is to get a piece that is good enough to eat raw and then hardly cook it. I prefer mine completely raw, but that isn't so unusual for me. Well i didn't get "sashimi" grade which was something like $11+ a pound, and the other "natural" salmon was priced similarly, so I got salmon that was $8 a pound I was at HEB though so I'm sure that wasn't the best place to start in the first place

I think your budget is about right. My friend said that he found a (don't quote me on this) 2007 ISF w/ 20k for $50K? I think that was it.

Welcome to the IHoP
Wanted to type this here so I don't forget quickley. Our ecocar team is creating a carbon fiber body and they said that the epoxy based resins that UScomposites uses is terrible and they switched to West Systems epoxy resin and yielded much better results.

Welcome to the IHoP
My frinds brother is looking into some cars that I THINK a couple of you guys may know a bit about. He was telling me his brother is looking into the ISF, M5, and M3 sedan. Would you guys like to throw down a pro/con list with some things to look for and possible other options in that price range. As far as I know he wants a fast 4 door car.

Is that where they came up with the term whiskey dick?

On that note as well. How does the dyno compensate for a vehicle with different gear ratios in the rear end. I realize it changes what you put to the ground (I think...) but people almost always arbitrarily use %20 as the drivetrain loss but it seems that the same vehicle with a gear swap to lower ratio would generate higher torque at the wheels while the engine wouldn't be producing any more torque
-
Welcome to the IHoP
Hey guys, correct me if I'm wrong on this. Assuming 100% driveline efficiency, an engine produces 14ft*lbs of torque that is transmitted through a 3.83:1 reduction then through a 9:1 reduction 14ft*lbs(3.83)(9)= 482.58ft*lbs to the output. Reduction multiplies torque, correct? This is for our minibaja and that seems like a hell of a big torque number for a 10hp motor to put out. I assume it is correct because I'm sure if you dyno a vehicle in 1st gear it would have some ungodly torque numbers too.

Welcome to the IHoP
That is what drives me nuts about those damn AT&T commercials! On 2 seperate personal events I've had a buddy who owns an iphone use my Droid and say, "wow, your internet is so much faster" which is amazing considering the iPhone has a faster processor than the Droid (600mhz to 550mhz) and "the fastest 3g coverage". I am obtaining a Mathematics degree but it doesn't take much education to realize that shit doesn't add up.

Running at 550mhz because the battery is less than 20%

Welcome to the IHoP
Done playing with the Droid for today. Installed a new, faster, ROM that is able to be overclocked to 1.1Ghz (faster not because of the OC but because of a better ROM). Has a cool smoked glass blue theme. Setup up the home screen from the Hero and downloaded a new weather widget app. Re-setup all my icons and "widgets" and tweaked a few other things. Guess I could at least provide some screenshots

Welcome to the IHoP
EPIC Time Warner fail.... Not only is the internet intermittent and makes the H0P even slower, but i could not sign up for the run for May and I switched to tethering wirelessly through the Droid and everything runs faster and it allowed me to sign up for the event. Droid>Time Warner????

sounds awesome! are you literally going to leave from the house on your sled? lol I am trailering to my buddies house, but partly just because my sled is on the trailer the other reason is of course it would be an extra 60 miles on the sled and about 25 to drive as the city is in the way. So you could drive the sled on the road or what? If so I need to move to MN Southern ATV = Northern Sled ??? Outside of Minneapolis, St Cloud, and Moorhead you can pretty much drive through any city with some other minor exceptions and re-routes of course. Add 22,000miles of groomed trails and you can get anywhere in the state. wow, I would love to do that one day
