Welcome to the IHoP
For some reason I find it quite humorous that you could probably never get me and Tom mixed up by appearance. I have a feeling that Tom is the hairiest guy here and I would not doubt that I'm the least hairy. Other than Ms. DropTop.... at least I hope so.....
-
Welcome to the IHoP
That was me but Tom did have some good pictures of his own. I understand how easy that would be to mix . Toms pics are better IMO opinion since he owns the 8 cylinders.

Welcome to the IHoP
Just realized the mobil 1 extended performance I use in the truck is designed for 15000 miles. Looks like I'll still be doing the 4/8 rule for the truck but next oil change the car is getting it and going 15K
-
Welcome to the IHoP
An old timer told me that back in the day they hardly ever changed there oil. I read an article where some guy ran mobil 1 in his car for 18,000 miles and tested it at various mileages along the way. He said it wasn't until 8000 when the oil actually started showing some degradation of the detergents in it. The only concern I have for the test was that each test required more new oil put in (<1/2 qt or so) My truck also has the oil change countdown that is said to be based off of how the truck is driven. In either event I'm going to be changing the filter at 3-4K and the oil at 6-8K

The post we started at and stopped at is there. The time shows it. I did it right. The common courtesy is to mark the beginning with the ending page and the end with the beginning page

Lucas with a bottle of GM LSD additive, it's what I put in the Camaro RP isn't worth the price What specific weight?
-
Welcome to the IHoP
Always steared away from royal purple just because of there attitude of every oil they make is the end all for all lubricants. There price seemed to always confirmed there attitude. But if its proven I'm always willing to try it
-
Welcome to the IHoP
I am extremely glad I did not use the term "rear end" oil in my previous post, now seeing Penguin's post

I can still hear a lot outside the car, even though, except the roof, all the panels are pretty dead Have you tried a foam material. I have no understanding of why, because from what I understand 90% of deadening is just adding mass, but layers of foam on the roof made it sound so much more dead than just the deadener. I wish I would have put expanding foam in the supports before I put sheets of foam over the supports, but it really made a huge difference. I can't tell you why, but it made some kind of difference for me, in a big way on the roof. You need a barrier, not just a damper. The damper helps with stopping resonances, but a barrier can actually block sound. Aluminum backed vinyl is great for this. I'm confused though, why then would the ensolite even make a difference? The RAAM (aluminum butyl(?)) worked, but the ensolite foam made nearly the same (perceived) difference. I may just be understanding it wrong, and more hearing what I want to for all the work I did. =) My Expy doors are horrible to get the outer skin dampened. I would have to cut metal. I hope when I just deaden the inside skin it's enough. The only thing Ensolite does is prevent rubbing of two adjacent surfaces. If you "heard" anything else it is just due to the fact that you had expectations of hearing something else. If you used it as an isolating layer between layers of deadening it would have some value as a decoupler. So you are saying ensolite does nothing to block noises travelling through it?

Dickies, Hats & Hoodies Finished Pictures
Any idea on how the hoodie sizes run? I usually one up to XL because they tend to be too short if I go L? For some reason that tan hat is calling my name.
