There's a big rivalry in my home town as well and we share one field as well. For the past decade Lee (the rival) has won. This year Sterling (my HS) finally won. I wasn't able to make the game but for some reason I really don't care anymore

No Shit.... Tech fans have a reputation for tearing their own stadium up. That's a cool way to raise tuition... I'm pretty sure with the 8-10 times that #1/#2 got beat last year the field was never stormed. Sean is right... as usual I think are confusing the terms SQ and SPL with quality and volume respectively. While quality and SQ are related and volume and SPL are related they aren't the same. It is possible to have quality and volume in an SQ setup and its possible to have quality and volume in an SPL setup. SPL is usually geared to make your car as loud as possible at one frequency and SQ is geared to making your vehicle have the flattest response curve as possible (trying to recreate it as it was actually recorded). I think that you would be happy with one 10" woofer on 300-500W sealed, but this is really speculation until we are completely clear about your goals . Don't know too much about Yaris' but I think that .7-1 cuft. won't hurt your cargo much at all. I would really never recommend a shallow mount sub. There are plenty of subs just a little deeper that get the job done

The 9887 isn't going to be able to handle active processing by itself. Which means if you go active the Amplifier will have to have the processing capabilities (Like the Sundown 100.4) In a previous post you said "RE XXX in the rear locations absolutely". So if they are mounted in the rear location they are rear fill no matter if they are meant for midbass. I think it would be better to start off with the L6-L1 combo.
