Welcome to the IHoP
Phillip's house is only about 40 minutes away on bike. There is a place south of Gladys right by Phil's that I found yesterday. I want to call them today but my phone is dead. It has a 2 door 2 car garage and looks nice so I bet it is out of our price range

Everytime I look into a different sport I realize just how nuts people go over every sport. It makes me realize how many people there really are in this world. It seems everyone is an enthusiast in something

I'm thinking about getting a bike (bicycle that is) Something that can be driven off and on road. I might be moving and if I could get close enough I would start biking to school. Anywhere to start looking?

Welcome to the IHoP
Actually you can add good power, easy to mod and leather to the no brainer list too. I'd have to say there is more Civics then Fusions on the road and an AWD Fusion is more of an enthusiast model, which means better re-sale to the right buyer

Welcome to the IHoP
AWD= No brainer IMO but I have different wants/needs then you do I'm sure

Welcome to the IHoP
I know the last time I went to get Old Blue inspected it failed twice and they passed me because they knew my parents and recognized my truck. So it seems I have connections but you never know... ya know? It looks as though i may be able to get by at $600 all stainless 3" to the muffler and 2.5" the rest of the way. This will be utilizing 2 of Magnaflow Tailpipe Passenger exit. The piece is intended for dual use (one Driver side and one passenger side exit) but I think I can mod it to work perfect for a tucked dual seup. I'm going to have to get access to a real metal bansaw before I attempt this though

Welcome to the IHoP
in Arizona, for emissions testing, OBD-II vehicles ('96 and later) are only plugged in and checked for codes, they don't get sniffed if TX is the same way, you don't even need cats, just make sure there aren't any codes in your PCM when you go in for testing Kind of thought the same thing. I really need to check it out. Looks like to get what I want I'm going to have to do it myself, not really suprised. What kind of gas will I need to weld stainless? Final tally should be true duals 2.5", no cats and single dual in dual out muffler. The muffler will make things much cheaper because I only have to buy 1 muffler instead of 2 mufflers and an x-pipe. Should I buy something to atleast "look" like a cat. I never have had anyone check under my trucks but there's always a first. Edit: and to simplify the matter even more I may do 3" to the muffler with the reducing muffler to knock out having to make/buy reducers as well. Shouldn't make for too much "flow" eh?

Welcome to the IHoP
Hrmm... Guy tried to tell me that with long tube headers I am going to have problems with emissions because I am changing the location of the catalytic converters and 02 Sensors.... How does a catalyst perform different because of a change in location? I guess the gas cools sooo much in 18" that is becomes unconvertable in the presence of a catalyst :dunno:

Welcome to the IHoP
Found a place in Houston that does mandrel bending. About to call them and see how much lube I need to bring. Looks like I'll need to bring a lot
-
Welcome to the IHoP
Throw this into the mix as well. How much HP will I need to be putting out for Dual 3" to be nessecary/worthy. I ask because my collectors on my Headers are 3" and Magnaflow makes a dual muffler that goes from Dual 3" inlets to dual 2" outlets. I could run 3" exhaust to the muffler then 2.5" the rest of the way. When/if I need to upgrade I would only have to do muffler back to finish it off
-
Welcome to the IHoP
Alright so what do you guys think. I can buy Headers, ORY, Catback all single 3", all Manrel, bolt it up myself and be done with it or I can buy Headers and figure out how to run dual 2.5", buy Mandrel U's, piece my exhaust together or find someone that can bend mandrel near Houston. Cross Sectional Area Single 3" = 7.06858 Dual 2.5" = 9.81748 If anything, Forced Induction is ATLEAST a year away, but nitrous is still a viable option and I will have a good Cam/Stall within the next few months, hopefully. What would be the better option?
