Yeah, speaking of email. Humount is very close to losing business if I don't get a reply soon. Guess I'll just have to go with some cheap mounting kit

So make the fiberglass pod attached to the inner metal panel and have the door panel fit over it- Welcome to the IHoP
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=18634 A little question about putting 8's in the door- Putting 8's in the Door
I've been looking at posts lately of people putting 8's in there doors and have noticed that pretty much everyone seems to glass the door panel and mount the speaker to the door panel. Can the door panel be made strong enough to handle 200W of 8" midbass pounding away and not really leak around its edges?- sound deadening question
rhino line will be fine over spectrum and will also do a lot of the same things that spectrum will- raamat help
This is great to hear. But being a poor college student on a budget, I'm hoping one roll will be enough. I know this question is vehicle dependent but is skipping on deadening the floor going to be a huge deal? Or should I make the floor/doors my first priority, and whatever I have left go to the back of the cab? I think the back of the cab will take up less than one door would, so roughly 10-15 sq. ft. If I had 1 roll to use. I would use as much as I could on the doors then put the rest elsewhere. Since the doors are where your midbass speaker are it would seem most important to me, but thats just my opinion- Sound Deadner Questions
Any audio system will benefit from sound deadening, even a stock one. So Yes... And look at Raam Mat and Second Skin. They are much better values in the deadening industry.- Welcome to the IHoP
Look like my drag racing parade might get rained on for tomorrow. (Unless they'll let me launch in 4wd )- Welcome to the IHoP

I'm sorry you are right. and the old man that ran me off the road was in a car with an old Lady. So chances are it was her fault he did that in the first place- Welcome to the IHoP
I feel ya. Its a great way for them to gain business and you to gain members, but that does really suck when they have another "company" section when the same questions will be getting asked twice.- Welcome to the IHoP
I HATE OLD LADIES ON THE ROAD!!! PLEASE take their license's away! I almost lost the car today on lunch break when this old lady pulled right out in front of me in her brand new 09 Toyota Camry. I had to squeeze between her and the oncoming car then swerve back into the road before the "median" area became a concrete curbed median area. The last wreck I was in where my moms 97 F250 Powerstroke and a brand new 07 Corrolla were totalled was because an old lady driving the Corrolla swerved in front of me! People seriously wonder why I get nervous when old people are driving around me, and this is the perfect example why. EDIT: Not to mention I can remember other situations where an old man changed lanes and put me into the shoulder on the highway- Welcome to the IHoP
You think the HAT L841 combo would really be worth $712.50 (thats after the hopeful 25% discount) I wanted to use them in my Silverado, but it seems I could get a lot of speaker for $700. (of course this is talking future) I can't even get my damn temporary setup in there That would be half as much as I paid for my car- Welcome to the IHoP
Drive like you ride a bike For you cyclists looking for a way to wrap your head around the subject of efficient motoring: drive like you bike. Meaning, if you think about spending energy as wisely in your car as you do when you ride, you should automatically become aware of several of the major tips on this list, such as: a) Ensuring your tires are properly inflated & vehicle is in good mechanical condition, for reduced rolling & mechanical resistance. b) Smart braking: you'll spend more distance coasting up to stops (you don't pedal madly towards stop signs and then jam on the binders, do you?) c) You'll "drive with load" on hills (you don't usually power up hills trying to maintain your previous cruising speed, do you?) d) You'll reduce speed (because cyclists are highly attuned to the relationship between aerodynamic drag and the energy consumed to travel at high speed). I really liked this...- Welcome to the IHoP
Chopsticks kick my ass after a while. I get hand cramps and such. And once the rice isn't as warm and you start messing with it it loses its cohesive abilities and its harder to eat.- Welcome to the IHoP
Oh yeah paint job, and Wide body kit- Welcome to the IHoP
I'll snap a few on lunch break and up load them- Welcome to the IHoP
I see that Saturn in the Background- Welcome to the IHoP
LOL, $150 for repairs my ass. National average on a car with over 50k miles is $80/month MK, $200 a wk? The math will prove is almost every time, buying a second car, unless you get 2-3 times the mileage of the first, will not provide a savings, at least not within the first year or so. Tabs, liscence costs, you still have to change oil in the truck several times a year, so you just added oil costs. The only reason to buy a mileage effecient vehicle instead of your primary is if you want a different kind of vehicle, and to reduce the use of your baby. Not to mow you down but, you also talked about performance parts for the saturn too. even if it gets you another 2 mpg and 20hp, the it will take a heck of a long time to make even the cheepest air box at $50 bucks be paid back by 2mpg. Sry that was supposed to be $200 a month, but its still $2400 a year This car does get nearly 2x that of my truck Whats the point in adding the oil costs from my truck? I was doing them before hand now I'm just doing them less, because I drive it less, so thats more savings IMO. Same goes for all the taxes and such for the truck I payed them before no reason to add them again as an extra cost. And all the costs of the taxes and such from the Saturn are paid for in fuel savings. Insurance is one important thing but in my case, since we dropped a vehicle to add the saturn the cost is still the same, or less And yes, this new Saturn reduced the use of my baby I know performance parts rarely ever pay themselves back, but more performance is just fun , chances are I won't put anything performance on this car, unless its homemade or I just run into some money. If I wanted to fix this car up a new paint job would be top priority.- Welcome to the IHoP
