No, I think there's only 5mm or so clearance to the inside of the panel. Why do you ask? I think he is trying to see if you could fit a baffle or more baffle to compensate for the depth of the Seas. Ex: When me and a friend did an install with Seas on a Maxima we were able to fit a 2 inch thick baffle to compensate for the depth of the speaker

I'm just installed a new battery in my nano... but... I don't have a soldering iron! My roomie does, he just has to find it though.
