2002 F-150 Harley Edition Build
So I helped a buddy install an Alpine HU last night. It was the first time I worked on audio in a loooooong time. He wants to do an amp, front speaker combo. I am trying to convince him that deadening will be the best bang for his buck when doing the doors. He has about $650 for budget and I'm trying to figure out the best way to maximize the budget. Sound Deadening Based on what I see with SDS the 3M acoustic is the highest cost. I'd like to do 25% CLD, a layer of CCF and MLV, some CCF to control rattles and a little 3M acoustic (most expensive it seems) I can probably spend about $300 on deadening and leave $350 for Speakers/Amp Speakers I'm thinking that a passive component set will be easiest. His HU doesn't have Crossovers or anything Amp I'm thinking something used, and the best quality I can get with the remaining budget. He is wanting to try and get the front stage beefy enough that he won't want a sub. He doesn't have one currently and doesn't seem to be too concerned. Any tips for speakers/amps to look into?

How cheap would I have to get this bike to make it worth it? (CL ad didn't have pics). The wifey REALLY wants a bike and I'm thinking if it fits her okay it would be a perfect "1st bike that your going to grow out of quickly anyways and sell to get a new one".

Does the Millard reaction have anything to do with the egg on the crepe pan?
-

From what I understand from my quick reading about Maillard. Bacon at 350* in the oven. I don't understand the cold pan though, promotes even cooking?

My issue is I like to cook my bacon then use the grease for the eggs, but I can't do bacon in non stick and then eggs. Not sure if I could do it in the crepe pan. What does it do to make it better?

Lady on eBay was bitching because I hadn't left feedback quick enough. I decided to google the name and found this. http://m.wgal.com/news/car-crashes-into-cement-truck-in-palmyra/-/17430522/22273758/-/y8uidi/-/index.html

Hell yes! Decided I'd try to "reset" my RAM one more time before calling my computer dead and BOOM, started working again! Almost makes me wonder if I somehow wasn't installing them correctly all along and makes me want to try to install the 2 gb again I mean, a RAM stick couldn't actually destroy a mobo right?

That would mean saving that as a "program" called back up that I could simply run by typing ./backup in terminal or making a "shortcut" in Ubuntu? Yep. Just replace the source and destination with your harddrives' paths. I'm not 100% sure if it's the same in Ubuntu as Debian, but you can try "cd /media; ls" and see if that gives you a listing of the names of your harddrives. IE: /media/hdd2 and /media/hdd3 Not that it matters now since my computer is screwed but would you create an alias for that command or an actual program?
